Re: GT: BK vs Mavs
What a horrible ending.
All KD had to do was hit 3 FTs and he bricked it. Then we get the rebound with a chance to win and lose the ball.
Nets are just cursed.
But overall good effort. I just HATE getting that close and **** it up.

This broke the quarter.

Royce should’ve shot it , I think would’ve end up fouled

It would have been a bad shot. But yeah. Too many people around him to really dribble or pass it out.

Re: GT: BK vs Mavs
I still can't believe KD missed that free throw.
Man makes 62 straight and misses the most important one.

Agree bad shot , but it was 4 hands all over him , I’m positive 90% it would’ve be called as a foul

Re: GT: BK vs Mavs
Oh well.
We still looked pretty good all game. Missed a ton of easy shots.
We have clearly improved. Vaughn has done a solid job.
I'm ready for us to either bring back Kyrie or trade KD. But its time to make the next move.

Re: GT: BK vs Mavs
That was a bit of a heartbreaker, we had everything go right but oh well missed free throws happen to the best of them. KD played his ass off today.
That was a moral victory if ever there was one, 3rd game on a road trip in 4 nights. Down 10 with a few minutes to go in a low scoring game we could easily have flown the white flag then and there, and I would have bet anything that pre-Nash firing we would have. But we kept calm, kept executing and got ourselves back in a game that was pretty much gone.

If it makes you feel better, I'm 90% sure the team would have lost to OT or on a gamewinner. They played very active during the game and it was clear they were on running on fumes.
At the end of the day the team isn't going anywhere with players robbing money from the franchise.

Have to find a way to win again the Knicks and Clippers. Get back to almost .500.

Yeah no way do we win in OT
Unless Luka fouls out.
Harris/Simmons/Curry are killing us.
Cam has been a blessing. But why is he our 2nd best player? Crazy.

It happens, that’s not where game was lost , Seth Joe and Patty , those supposed to be dead eye shooters , they can’t hit side of the barn to save their lives

Re: GT: BK vs Mavs
I'm not sure whether we're going for Udoka but Vaughn deserves some credit for the way the team's played in the last few games. Sure part of it is KD buying in after the coach he wanted gone was canned, but no doubt the team is playing together and playing hard.
We still have a long way to go to get to where we want to be - as contenders, with plenty of unknowns like
- can Ben remember how to play ball again
- what happens with Kyrie
- can Joe and Seth get their shot back
- is Yuta OK
- can we finally get another big man other than Clax
- TJ Warren? etc.....
'
but I feel a lot better about our prospects than I did a week ago.

Royce is a dog , we need two more of them , exceptional defense, anticipation, steals , he punk them on few occasions

Re: GT: BK vs Mavs
Idk what we were doing offensively after the first quarter. They were doubling Durant all game yet we couldn't get any good looks from 3 or any real drives into the paint. If they're doubling and zoning up, we should be getting something. Instead they shut us down on all 3 levels. It's not like we were missing good shots. We got nothing. Frustrating.
The effort was there. The defense was okay. The execution almost all night was pretty bad.
Its probably best to say we're doing load management on Ben Simmons and make him earn his minutes. The guy barely looks like an NBA player. It's tough to watch. I don't think it's an aggression or mind set thing either. The dude is not skilled and basically lost his athleticism over night.

Joe played a great all around game today. And he went 2 for 5 from 3 with the biggest shot of the game.

I'd say the defense was more than okay. If Nash was still coaching this game would have been a blowout.
Hopefully Kyrie and Warren comes back.
Simmons needs to go.
