If he's drafted by the Jazz, you could see a lot of Gay Dick lineups.

Shifty SG: Terquavion smith, Judah Mintz, Marcus Sasser, Amari Bailey
Tall SG sniper: Gradey Dick, Tucker Devries
Athletic SG: Chris Livingston, Sidy Cissiko, Maxwell Lewis, Arthur Kaluma

Just a few realistic options

Sasser is on the short end but I like these selections. Never heard of Tucker Devries, need to do some research. Maxwell Lewis too.

You're right, Sasser is on the short side, but he's probably the best defender on the list, and screams Raptor to me. Love his game.

Maxwell looks super interesting, and started off his second season really well. Going to be following him closely. In fact, Pepperdine has a bunch of really interesting prospects, including Michael Porter Jr's brother and Houston Mallette, (who might fit into the shifty & sniper categories).

Also, I think you can add Jordan Hawkins to your list of snipers (average 3pt percentage last year, but the shot is too pretty to not believe in).

If we're picking somewhere in the 20's I don't have a problem taking a chance on Emoni. I wouldn't want the risk of his former ranking though. Anywhere in the lottery would be too much of a risk for my nerves.

I watched most of the game. His stepback 3 and frankly his pull-up jumpers in general looked really special. Effort on D and showed a bit of potential to be average in terms of steal and blocks, but mostly very little impact as he's very skinny. One lovely backdoor cut and then a huge slam and a couple nice drives. But the elite pull-up game was what really shown. He was also not averse to passing. Wasn't making great passes but it wasn't like one of those games where Gary Trent won't/can't pass the ball and it's annoying.

Most impressive thing was that he didn't hold the ball or hurt the offense (most of which other than him was pick and rolls to target Dickinson that Bates was a weakside shooter and not directly involved in but providing spacing for). It was like a great prime Klay Thompson thing.

On an intangibles basis, he was emotional in the sense of acting the way Dwayne Wade or Donovan Mitchell tend to when they're playing well, doing the "this is my house" thing and yelling at the crowd and benches when he hit shots. I won't try to psychoanalyze a kid I've never met or seen speak, but probably better that he's cocky and gives a damn than listless, and I'm sure it was an emotional night for him, his best game since high school against the biggest team in the state that seemingly chose not to pick him up as a transfer this summer (though he and Juwan Howard had a hug after the game, so either that wasn't true or the kid isn't an ****).

All in all, nothing to dislike as a Raptors fan desperate for shooting and intrigued by Bates as a 6'9 2 guard hitting pullups, catch and shoot 3s and keeping us incredibly long on defence. If he stays healthy and plays half this well, he's a first rounder.
Where's the D?

If the team is hovering around .500 in another 15-20 games, I hope we make moves to get into the lottery.

unfortunately the raps will waste whatever pick they get on another long boi who's defense is overrated and who's offense is non-existant.

no idea why they think drafting guys with no offense will work in the 21st century.

Defense wins championships. The problem is trying to win when your shooting guard is allergic to passing on a team that thrives off of playing with one another, and then of course injuries. The long boi experiment works, it just needs some tweaks.

He looks similar to Markkanen during his Arizona (and now Utah) days.

This draft has several long boi with a strong offense. No worries this year...

The guy I will never quite on is Terrence Shannon Jr. He was at Texas Tech for three years and never took a big step-up numbers wise- but he still shot it well enough. Now on Illinois where he can play his game more, we might see the NBA player that I thought he would be:

Read on Twitter

He is 6'6, athletic, can shoot pull-up 3s from deep, defend 1-4, and can drive in transition well. Hard to get a read on his playmaking because Texas Tech was a weird system, but Illy is letting him show his skills.

It is early, but he has a BPM of 17, 2.6 block% and 2.1 steal% which are elite for any player. He will be 23 next summer, but I expect him and Coleman Hawkins will get more national attention this year and Shannon will get some draft love.

Lacking that star player upside (at least I dont see it), but Cason will play in the league for a long time and make lot of money. Solid.

Thoughts? It looks like we can get an ideal wing player this draft. Someone who could replace GT Jr. in the future or an excellent BPA.

Get ready for Olivier Maxence "O-Max" Prosper. Tremendous toolsy 6'8 foward with good athleticism, played for Team Canada on their u19 program and is now with Marquette. Just like the kid and his bball family shows his great makeup:

O-Max went off for 31 recently:

A bit of his strong defense shown here - looking like Dorian Finney Smith:

How cool is the name O-Max? Can already see "OG to O-Max for the alley-oop" call by Devlin.

I think he broke his hand and is out for a while or even the whole season. He was ranked pretty highly, but could be a good buy low guy like we got with OG after the injury.
