Having KD lead the starters and Kyrie lead the bench would mean that other teams would not be able to rest their starters for long.

When Kyrie comes back it should be clear that when he is on the court he needs to play defense.

When Harden pissed him off and Kyrie was motivated he locked Harden's ass down.

Uncle Drew can be an excellent defender when he wants to be.

Now if Kyrie was not suspended, he probably would have been the one giving JV the game ball. It is good to see KD step up in that role. I hope he builds on it and whether or not Ky comes back and KD continues it.

KD is VERY HAPPY and ScoopB confirmed this himself as well and he is a reliable source. If Marks trades Kyrie, my hope is we get someone disgruntled with the team they are on that wants to win. I look at a team like the Clippers and wonder with Kawhi out, are they still thinking championship? If you do a Kai/PG13 swap, it benefits both teams in that LAC gets an expiring and can even buyout Irving. PG13 may have more years on his deal but his game is aging like fine wine. The other route, and probably even risky, is trading Kyrie for Davis and a first round pick from L.A. Apparently, from what ScoopB is being told, L.A. still has him on their radar. Davis gives us a low post presence who can shoot; yes, he has an injury history but he seems to be out on the court more often. Getting Davis/George could be our Gasol trade to the Lakers in 2008. If the Nets stay first in defense like they have the past four games, this season WILL get salvaged.

Slow steps but we are trending in the right direction. This West Coast trip will give us a better picture of where we are. We need to reel off another five wins in a row to get a better feel.

I would trade Kyrie for Anthony Davis today.

AD would at least give us another scorer and a big that can hit threes, and he won't be a cancer in the locker room.

We can't afford to have Kyrie come back and start doing to Vaughn what he did to Nash, ignoring or switching play calls. We don't need someone who is out for self. Vaughn has everyone buying in.

It is clearly obvious that KD is happier with Kyrie gone. Lets bring in someone who will help and probably buys in.

We need to capture a win versus The Clips or Portland. If we can do that, and handle business versus LAL/SAC, that would be a very good sign.

Agreed man, I am seriously traumatized from the drama we went through; I am very much vouching for one of two things, either w trade him for AD or he Buys into the damn system. We cannot blow this season as we have the past two, we can thank Gianni's foot two seasons ago but last year was because of Kyrie/Nash....This season remains to be seen.

Davis would still probably play more games that He-who-shall-not-be-named. I'd take that trade in a minute.

I would trade Kyrie and multiple picks for AD in a heart beat and not even think about it.

AD would be more than our missing link. I just don't think LA would do that for a couple of reasons, not the least of which is LeBron's age. I think it is harder, the way the game is played today, to find a dominant, versatile, two way, big, than a competent point guard.

As far as Kyrie ignoring Nash, I think it "takes two to tango". Of course the game seems much simpler to me when I'm watching in my recliner. You can't treat pros like college kids. But some things cannot be tolerated anytime. Just yank him immediately, even if you have to call a timeout. I would just want a coach who knew when he was being ignored or when the defense dictated the player action.

And I don't know if KD is happier now or it's just a relief not to have to worry about a best friend who always seems to be in self-destruct mode. Regardless of what KD doesn't say in public, I think he would much prefer if KAI could more conform to public norms and be on the court with him. I personally do not care about most player legal off-court foibles. (For example, I thought not getting the Covid vaccine was unwise. My best friend disagrees, and he is generally smarter than I am.) I value and thank the Almighty for the free press, but I sometimes think reporters act like piranhas. And I think we've seen what media frenzy can do to a team.

So would I. I'd also throw in Ben Simmons and not think about it.

No way Lakers do it though. The Laker fans will probably burn staples center if that trade went through.

Good for Vaughn seems like a great cat, great to see another minority get a head coaching opportunity. Hopefully they respect him n are able to take accountability n let him coach.

Hopefully we can fire Thibs n let Johnnie Bryant get a shot. Love to see that from KD, just get rid of Kyrie n let this man coach

This board needs your energy, it was a blast being in your forum and we all had a good time. C'mon brother, follow the Nets.

Got orange n blue running thru my veins that will never or could never change. When u a Knicks fan n a die hard one at that, it's different than being a Yankees fan or Giants fan especially if u from the NYC. Even when the Yankees kept winning all those championships w Jeter, Mo, Posada, Pettitte, Bernie... the Knicks still ran the city. This where we from. It's basketball. Again for me I grew up poor in Jamaica Queens so playing ball from sun up to sun down was all I had.

That's why I told yall a real Knicks fan could never root for the nets, it's equivalent to Giants-Eagles or Giants-Cowboys. MDB knows

I know what you mean, same thing, for twenty years rooting for the Nets since they were in Jersey, it's hard to choose another team. I don't know, the name Nets is catchy too.

Just so ya know, a "real" Knicks fan did indeed root for the Nets for almost a decade.
I'll always have a soft spot for Clyde, Willis, Cazzie, #22, Fall Back Baby and the rest...
But...

Then the Knicks made the Nets sell The-Best-Basketball-Player-Ever-to-Wear-New York-on-his-Uniform.
The choice was easy. One NY team made the other take a huge step back.

So....
I had to make my final choice regarding allegiance probably before you were even a young bumpkin.
Don't regret it. I'll never switch either but I do admire your attitude and tenacity.
Stay well. But... keep thinking about the last 8 meetings between the teams! :-)

Haha in the back of my mind I'm always watch someone bring up the ABA  which is why I choose my words carefully when I say things like the Knicks are the only team NY recognizes n not the only team ever from NY haha.

Fall back baby

We'll do this again soon, hopefully I should be back in NY Orlando already mkn me home sick lol it is gorgeous out here tho not gon front. Plus more potential out here n the obvious cost of living.

My internet I got while I'm down here direct TV stream wasn't letting me connect bout to sound on them today
