Yeah, I'm still pissed about that. Obviously trading down a bit in the draft would have been ideal. But then with Sacramento, everyone was like yeah, forget about it, the Kings are gonna build around him! And then he's moved, WTF? Did we have the pieces they wanted? Who knows, but it's the Kings, I feel like they could have made it happen if they got serious about it. That would have made Poole obsolete and DDV unnecessary with Moody picking up all the minutes at the 2 left over.

James Wiseman & Donte for Alex Caruso & Drummond?

ESPN trade machine wouldn't allow to try with Donte and Drummond - probably because they just signed this off season and can't be traded just yet.

Talk around the NBA not long ago was what a haul we could get for Wiseman + Kuminga/Moody. If we destroy Wiseman and Kumingas value it's going to be head scratching for the rest of this franchises history.

The franchise I think felt pretty confident that Wiseman or Kuminga or both could emerge as a top 30 NBA player and extend this window. At this point I fear Wiseman is a Darko Milicic situation. With Kuminga it's a bit puzzling why he doesn't get more of a green light, guy started playoff games as a Rookie and now has like no role.

Yeah, he has a player option the following year but he would be crazy not to opt out at only $13M. I'm not crazy about his defense, how would you invision his role on the Warriors?

top 30 players are KAT, Ingram, Fox, PG, Beal... lets be real here none of the guys will be top 30. And even they are top 30 they would not do anything, you need a top 5 guy to win.

Lakers year is wasted without a major shakeup. How about adding two hardened veteran championship players to help an aging LeBron make his last push?

Warriors can't pay luxury and repeater taxes forever. How about a massive expiring contract that can help carry our hopeless 2nd unit this year?.... and finally a star PF/C... and a 1st for our trouble?

I am a no on AD and I have a hard time imagining Westbrook in our offense. AD can't stay healthy and looks to have lost a step.

A solid young veteran with championship experience that has had to play team ball with a superstar. He would fit the bench role perfectly with Poole offensively. Defense would be the question, but Kuzma can play his role and provide a boost.

I think we would need to give up Wiseman & Donte to make the salaries match up. More depth for the Wizards.

Anyone like this or no? I know Chicago loves Caruso, but maybe they like the young Wiseman to secure their future front court? We get 2 veterans who have some elite skills in Caruso defense/hustle and Drummond rebounding. Feel that’s enough to get the Warriors going again.

Fair call. I don't love it either but atm its death, taxes and our reserves throwing away leads.

Westbrook could be permanently banished to the second unit where he could at least keep the points ticking over while our starters rest. He is a one year EXPIRING...

Will be interesting to see how the warriors get out of their luxury tax hell. Something's gotta give and they just extended Poole.

I’ll be honest I wasn’t high on Tyrese in that draft simply because I was on the side where I didn’t believe his push shot would translate to the NBA. I loved his play making skills and physical attributes, but I was picturing a playmaker who can’t shoot and it turned me away.

I also was not high on Wiseman at first and should have trusted my gut. A big in college who didn’t show any ELITE skills was too much at #2.

So some teams have disappointed and may be willing to trade.

For instance, 76ers have Thybulle who's barely playing this season, down to 11 MPG from 20, 20 and 25.5 MPG in previous seasons.

He's going to hit RFA after this season and his shooting is way down too.

Do you trade someone like Kuminga or Wiseman? Because if Thybulle gets minutes -- a big IF with his poor shooting -- you're going to need a roster spot anyways.

Or gamble on someone like Reddish, who's also going to be RFA. He's getting 20 MPG, not shooting very well. But can he get minutes defending and spotting up for the Warriors this year?

I didn't like that draft so much, so I hoped they might trade back. Haliburton was a guy I liked, but figured he wasn't a #2 type of pick.

One thing I considered was trading with Sacramento. I've always liked Richaun, and thought he'd be good to pair with Looney in the Warriors style of play. Two smallish centers who could fill as many minutes as you needed.

I gave up on it, because I didn't think there would be anyone good left by the Kings pick. :banghead:
