If my basic math is right that leaves roughly 90,000 votes to still count. To close the gap would require something like 50,000 for Masto vs. 40,000 for Laxalt.

That seems like Masto can pull even and then build a small lead since there is decent chance those ballots are close to two-thirds Democrats.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes. That is correct and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dems keep the house majority.

I love positive happy talk as much as anyone else but let's just say that things don't work out as well as they could, with the last three Senate races going to the Repubs, and they take control of the Senate, along with the House, what happens then? The country could still be in for a lot of chaos in the future. The fact that the populace voted to reject the anti-democratic, election deniers, fascists forces is a very positive thing that may make some of these people think twice about doing some very bad things and bring down the whole system.

Having said this, I'm thinking the Democrats will go on to control the Senate, so that even if they lose the House, it would limit the damage that the crazies could do to the country.

My friends and I are looking at the Katie Porter results and hoping she survives, she's got a narrow lead over Scott Baugh by just under 3000 votes. I would imagine that big business threw tons of money against her, they really dislike her and want her out by any means necessary. She's one of the good ones, she actually works for the people, does great work.

Things Sure Don't Seem To Be Going Well At Twitter

As I predicted Musk would rue the day he even thought about purchasing twitter. There could be grave financial consequences for his decision eventually. The advertisers are abandoning twitter faster than rats on a sinking ship. For christ sakes some of them (GM) were actual competitors to Tesla, so what do you think was going to happen.

Loving it!

that's likely what will happen

GOP fans are likely split between trump and desantis. 2024 will be interesting to see what they do, and which one they prop up more

Schumer has been getting a ton of judges confirmed. That's huge

But yeah he needs to retire

Please add Diane Feinstein to that list.

There was a report that was floating around the other day about congressional aides being sent to pick up prescriptions for alzheimer's for sitting congressmen/women. It wouldn't shock me if she was one of them.

If the retirement age is 62, no one in congress should be serving past that age.

The lines have been drawn, it's Gen Z and Millennials/Younger Gen X vs. Older Gen X and The Boomers.

This says to me that by 2028 the GOP is absolutely screwed and 2024 is their last stand. We have two years to prepare to stomp them out.

There’s no way in hell Finchem is winning. Arizona Secretary of State will not be a God damn crazy Republican. Just need the Governors race to complete the trifecta and I’m feeling cautiously optimistic about that.

The youth vote needs to be talked about way more as far as preventing the red wave. Dems need to continue to engage and turnout these voters because it can’t be a one time thing. 2024 will be the best chance against Facism and the Senate is going to be extremely tough for Democrats but they can hold it. Keep voting blue up and down the ballot until Republicans go back to running on policies instead of hate and threats to Democracy.

That Black and Latino youth turnout is critical. Dems have got to continue to get these groups engaged and to the polls every year.

It isn't perfect, but it gives me a moment of relief to know that this country isn't going down without a fight

Graham is such trash. Who is playing the race card now?

Someone should ask him why he thinks Tim Scott has no problems winning elections in comparison to Walker. Unless Lindsay only defines people by their race.

I think this tweet from someone impersonating Nestle was the death blow for Twitter Blue:
