We ARE the land of misfit toys. What a horrible place to be. Mitch must love coming to work every day. It’s like minding the garbage dump…eventually you get used to the smell but it’s still a dump. When your paid millions it make it all worthwhile.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: GT: Hornets @ Heat, Right Now, Today
It's still a little bit shocking to see just how bad Bouk is after what is now about 6 weeks of consistent game time. Why does he think it's ever a good idea to take a contested step back three pointer? Defensively it's even worse. Teams are starting to hunt him.
That being said, we've piled on him enough at this point that I'm not sure what else needs to be said. Therefore, I want to turn my attention to Thor. I know he's young and raw, but I'm starting to get worried that there's just not a whole lot of actual basketball ability there to build on. His shooting percentages are horrific. He does a decent enough job defensively and on the defensive glass that maybe you could hide him in a lineup that had four other solid offensive pieces. I just don't really see it with him outside of his obvious length and physical traits.
Is anyone here still high on him? At some point, I wouldn't mind it if we tried to give Kai some of his minutes at the four. I know that was a train wreck in summer league, but it might work out a little better if he's surrounded by better players. KAI can't shoot any worse than Thor has been shooting.

*rocks back and forth in fetal position* It's all going to be worth it when Wemby is here...it's all going to be worth it when Wemby is here...
Honestly the team's effort through the losing streak has been mostly good, they still seem to be playing above their talent level. But that talent level is freaking abysmal, especially when Melo, Martin and one of Gordo/Rozier are not available. We just seem like a team that will be bottom of the league the honest way at this point. Maybe Melo will come back and turn it around but he'll have to make one heck of a leap.

I can't remember the exact stat, but I was watching one of the talk shows yesterday and they were talking about the lakers. Something about teams starting 2-9 making the playoffs, it was...not good. And of those teams, only 1 of them actually won their round.

Even if we get Melo back in the next week, we're looking at no Martin & likely no Hayward until mid-December. That's almost 35 games through the season having the worst roster in the East. The decision on whether or not tank is being made for us.
When I die, have Michael Jordan bury me so he can let me down one last time.

What do you base Hayward being out until December on?
I haven't seen an injury update. All I know is he is soft and/or a slow healer so it would be no surprise.

Exactly that, he's always out 2 months at the minimum.
