Hopefully they aren't rushing him back. This would be a difficult game to win even with 100% healthy LaMelo. If he does play I hope they give Mark Williams some minutes with him.

LaMelo makes this watchable at least. Hope he plays, want to see him with DSJ (and I want Bouknight relegated back to college)

Listed as questionable. We might have Melo and DSJ tonight.

DSJ's such a soldier battling through these injuries man. We should sign him to a 2-year deal. He's really earned it and possesses the qualities for how the underdog Hornets should handle themselves and represent the organization.

Decided to drop 40 on the hornets at +270. I already regret this.

For us non gambling types, what does that mean you need to have happen in order to get paid in the positive?

I took the hornets ML at +270. Which means I took them straight up. I bet 40 so if they win I win 110. Well, maybe 108. I can't recall. The spread tonight was +8 which if the hornets lose by 7 pts or less I win whatever I bet.

I normally only bet 20 to 30 bucks a week on hornets games just to mess around and make them more interesting. Lately all its caused me is more stress and losing money. Lol.

That only made it more confusing. where does 270 come from and how does that impact betting?

Sorry, I suck at explaining things. Anytime a team like the hornets are tonight are +270 they are underdogs. Or a 2.7 to 1 shot to win. If they were +500 they would be 5 to 1 and a 10 dollar bet would win 60 bucks.

However let's say a team is -300 favorites like the heat nearly are tonight. A 10 dollar bet would only win you 3 dollars and some change.

If you bet the spread like say Hornets +8 tonight you get the pts, and if you bet 40 and they only lose 105 to 99 you win 40.

The +270 moneyline is based on a $100 bet so you will win $270 if you bet $100. If you only bet $50 you will win $135. The more of an underdog you are the higher the moneyline will be... like Houston is +400 against New Orleans tonight

I'm not going to give up on Bouk just yet. As frustrating as he might be.

Wouldn't be a hornets game if lamelo wasn't in foul trouble in the first half.
