At this rate, PotW is just gonna alternate between KD, JT, and Giannis.

Turning into an absolute monster. He took all the jokes and jibes after the Finals personally and now he’s playing with some anger to go along with his obvious skill.

Read on Twitter

JT has reached that point of his career when he's confident he's the real deal and he's not shy to let anyone know it.

I am too lol. A ballboy made a JT hype thread on the GB last night and I almost locked it or merged it into another thread because I know those things turn into a hater fest with people jumping through hoops to say he sucks.

But I thought F it, he's so good now let people say their dumb ish and JT will get the last laugh when people finally figure out how good he is.

Never forget, from Washburn.

Adam: ... What are you expecting from Jayson Tatum? His strong regular season was mostly forgotten after a tough Finals, and he hasn’t looked great in the preseason, even if it’s just the preseason.

Gary: You would think Tatum went into the lab all summer trying to work on the things Golden State exposed in the Finals. Instead, it seems like Tatum kind of brushed off the Finals loss, did some hanging out, and is hoping the same summer regimen is going to help him take the next step. That’s just an observation. He has to become a more vocal leader, stop complaining about the officiating and not settle for as many 3-pointers. I was a little disturbed he brushed off his preseason struggles as just being a “slow starter.” Jaylen Brown played this preseason like he had something to prove, like he’s been working. Tatum appeared like the Celtics won the Finals a few months ago. Maybe he’ll show the hunger and improvement during the regular season, but I didn’t see much in the preseason. They need a better Tatum in all facets.

I love he acted like he knew what Tatum’s workouts entailed.

It looked dumb at the time (before opening night), now it looks so much worse lol.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that Jayson Tatum is the EC Player-of-the-Week, again.

Up to number 3 now

Cool to see, but also it's a little unclear to me why on November 7 he was all the way down at #7 behind Booker and Dame. Not to say they haven't both been playing great, but both of those players had been putting up worse stats and having less impact than Tatum, and it was before the Blazers had ascended to that muddled top of the Western Conference and would have had a nice "best player on unexpectedly best team" argument for Dame. Maybe just a novelty thing, or because the Celtics dropped a couple in a row in the week before, I don't know.

What range does a player of the week entail? If it's from Saturday through Sunday, I don't see any way it doesn't go to Embiid this time. But Tatum is has been consistently great and I'm sure he'll earn more POTW awards this season.

Yeah not trying to derail the thread but if you look at the four games Embiid played from the week of November 7 through November 13, I bet that's about as good a week as you will see from any player this season. Averaged 40 points (on 23 shots), 11 rebounds, and 5 assists through four games and led the Sixers to a 3-1 record with Harden out and while playing through his own injuries. Tatum also had an unbelievable week but it happened to overlap with a **** buzz saw.

I didn't really pay attention to the Sixers. But, we'll see.

His assist numbers won’t pop out at anyone, but the passes this guy makes, elite stuff.

The team is playing so well that the guy that is receiving these great passes off his drives are making the extra pass for wide open shots. Tatum’s hockey assists have been impressive so far.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
