He’s already missed 4 games & the 76ers are 5-5 in the ten games he’s played.
I’d put him in the top 10 but there’s a good amount of players ahead of him.

The discussion is 5-6 players at the moment and he isn't one of them. Sorry.

Like, Jokic will probably get zero conventional votes for MVP, but if I'm Nuggets fan I couldn't be more happy with my best player. Putting any ago aside and making sure MPJ and Murray are involved as much as possible - that's the true MVP for Nuggets. 4 shots only (all makes), but 14 assists with 2 turnovers - and it's just another game for him.

His box stats aren't as pretty as they have been in previous years but his impact numbers have been phenomenal.

I never get the reactionary discussion in these threads. Few good games on .500 team doesn't net you a place with players who have done it entire year with 80% winning.

We're talking everything MVP-related, while you guys were nowhere to be found until Embiid had two nice games. Then you came out again all guns blazing with nonsense about Embiid for MVP and Jazz being the best team in the west.

I'm a Jazz fan, but let's be frank.. Embiid didn't just have two "nice" games. His first game was one of the best individual performances this season, whiles his 2nd gane was historic and one of the best games in nba history.

If you excuse record for Steph in the mvp race so far, looking at Joel's stats so far I can't really buy the argument that he's not in the discussion.

Steph is putting up mvp numbers and the Warriors are 3 games under. 500

Embiid is putting up mvp numbers and the sixers are. 500

As someone who has Steph in my top 5 for Mvp, I have to be consistent and put Embiid in there

Jokic's scoring dropped a lot because he shoots almost 5 times a game less now. He's also only playing 31 mins, shooting 61% (68% TS) with a much lower usage rate than last year. Unsurprising to see his raw numbers drop when he's focused on integrating three "new" players into the starting lineup

Oh absolutely, I don't want to take anything from him. These games were insane and I'm glad that he's back.

He just had one of the greatest games of all time. How is that not an opportunity to say he's staking his claim for MVP especially when the season is so young. Sounds like you just have an axe to grind.
