Dan Quinn is a good DC. But he's well known for blowing big leads. That was a problem when he was the DC in Seattle & it followed him to Atlanta (Super Bowl).

IYHO, who do you think is the best player on defense for the Cowboys?

Of course. Without question. So has Parsons been great playing on the line and edge this year and causing havoc, getting tons of pressures and getting sacks? Do you agree that is the strength of his play?

So why does Dan Quinn take Parsons off the edge and line where he has been most of the year and put him back at middle linebacker and have him play in the backfield? As soon as Quinn made that adjustment, there was no more sacks, no pressures and then the Packers started running the ball down our throats.

Carson Wentz shouldn't see the field the remainder of this season. Weird how the Redskins seem to elevate their play everytime Heinicke gets the nod at qb.

Yup. Heinicke clearly isnt a franchise QB, but as a stop gap he really isnt all that bad. He kind of is the next Fitzmagic. Plays with crazy energy that you can see has a positive effect on the team. Can make some plays you dont expect from a backup, but will also make some bad ones.

You put him as the backup when you find your franchise QB. You dont go making dumb trades to get a QB like Wentz.

Field's last 6 games:

10 passing touchdowns
3 interceptions
1,1018 passing yards
73.57 Cmp%

And in every game his weapons are dropping passes and making mistakes. Against the Vikings and Giants on what could have been the game tying drive his WR fumbles the ball. Against Washington his WR catches the game winning catch on 4th and goal, but is pushed out of the end zone. On Sunday his kicker missed an extra point and the Bears lose by 1.

The Bears are league average when it comes to dropped passes, which doesn't sound too bad until you realize they're dead last in the league in pass attempts per game. The Bears and Vikings both have 10 dropped passes on the year, but the Vikings throw the ball 39.7 times a game and the Bears throw the ball 20.8 times a game.

The Bears don't have a Justin Jefferson who can make Fields look good, but we do have over $100,000,000 in cap space, 7 draft picks in the first 5 rounds, and Fields is only 23.

Those arent good passing numbers though. Also its not 73.57 Cmp%, its 62.8.

But looking at those numbers

10 TDs in 6 games = 1.7 TDs per game
1018 yards in 6 games = 169 yards per game

Those arent impressive numbers. 1.7 TDs per game is average to below, while 169 yards per game would still rank bottom 5 in the NFL (Bears currently dead last for the full season). Ya the INT number is good, but again its not too shocking of a number when you look at how conservative the passing game is.

I must have done the math wrong on his completion % in the past 6 games.

1.7 TDs per game isn’t great, but he’s averaging 2.33 passing touchdowns per game in his last 3 games with 0.33 INTs per game.

My point stands about his weapons though. How many teams have a worse receiving group than the Bears? And like you said the Bears have a super conservative passing game, yet we’ve had 10 drops and 3 fumbles from our WRs this year.

If you’re going to laugh at anyone on the Bears, it should be our receivers.
