Makes all the more sense then that the Packers would never trade a 3rd round pick for a player.

Gutey already out scoutin' the next Jace, Oren, or Amari to get the Pack back into Super Bowl contention.

15 career kickoff returns, longest this year was 44 yards, unfortunately he never had a fumble, so it's a no-go for us.

With this knowledge is it better or worse that Gute kept these picks than trading them away instead?

Based on this most teams should trade their thirds for proven talent since most seem to suck in that round. Niners gave up a third (and lower picks) for McCaffrey. Chiefs gave up a 3rd in the Toney deal (comp 3rd). Queens traded a 2024 third (and other stuff) for Hockensen.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

A little more on today's roster moves via Packers.com

The Green Bay Packers have signed RB Patrick Taylor to the active roster from the practice squad and signed LB Tim Ward and WR Dede Westbrook to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Tuesday.

Taylor has spent the season on the Packers' practice squad and active roster. He originally joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and has played in 16 regular-season games for Green Bay, including seven this season.

Ward (6-6, 255) is a third-year player out of Old Dominion University that was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He started the only game he played for the Chiefs in his two seasons in Kansas City (2019-20). After being released by the Chiefs following the 2021 training camp, Ward was claimed by the New York Jets. Last season, he played in 11 games for the Jets. For his career, Ward has registered 17 tackles (10 solo), a sack, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He will wear No. 57 for the Packers.

Westbrook (6-0, 178) is a sixth-year player out of Oklahoma University that was originally a fourth-round pick (No. 110 overall) of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017. He spent four seasons with the Jaguars (2017-20) and one season with the Minnesota Vikings (2021). For his career, Westbrook has played in 55 games with 25 starts, registering 170 receptions for 1,788 yards (10.5 avg.) and nine touchdowns as well as 14 carries for 125 yards (8.9 avg.). He also has returned 69 punts for 644 yards (9.3 avg.) and a TD and 50 fair catches. On kickoffs, Westbrook has averaged 18.0 yards on seven returns. He will wear No. 80 for the Packers.

TE Josh Babicz will now wear No. 49.

He showed some flash in Jacksonville as a rookie and then fell off a cliff. Maybe he’s got some juice left…

The only problem is the money invested, because all of these veterans make a lot of money instead of 1M/year (rookie deal), so it's not only about talent, but cap space, contract extension, etc.

If Hill was saying, "I can return punts better than that scrub." I don't blame him.

"Being a Packer is a privilege."

Can we stop with the holier-than-thou BS?

Ehh I think it's just more specific than being in the NFL. Every team wants their own culture. I don't think it was meant to say the Packers are so much better than everyone else.

It's not like MLF is some dbag who preaches it every Sunday. Hill must've deserved it. Have you seen anything to show MFL is soft and reactionary like this that he would cut a player for something minor?

I don't know, it is just getting old to me. Nothing against MLF or the cut here, to be clear. Hill is a nobody. I just envision new hire orientation with Mark Murphy pushing the history and tradition narrative hard. Like, yeah, cool, we were **** legendary under Lombardi but we've got two rings to show for 30 years of HoF QB play.

Not sure if he will find a new roster spot in another team after this comment...

I wouldn't read too much into that "analysis." Mostly a blip.

Hill definitely did/said something pretty **** up. It's one thing to release him, but LaF publicly calling him out like that? That's not his style.
