brandon miller with a nice game - and he will be moving up draft boards as the season progresses.

For me, it all depends on how he matures physically. There have been a bunch of skinny, long wings who can shoot, but tend to float around the perimeter because they aren't strong or explosive enough to put pressure on the rim. Recent examples include Louis King and Ziaire Williams.

Until I see more from Miller, I don't have him as a bonafide triple-threat guy. That said, if the shot making is there, he could be a complementary player in the mold of a Nic Batum or maybe a Khris Middleton. But if that's the case, then he's not a top-10 guy for me.

miller is a different type of player. he's more in that lamar odom mold. if he can shoot, it's gravy. he's a big lead guard/forward who will do a bit of everything. if he can shoot, good heavens - he can be a superstar.

i agree with what has been said about lively. just not sure what he's going to be good at other than rim running and dunking. and he'll block some shots. lacks aggression and seems soft. if a teammate doesn't create something at the rim, you don't know he's out there.

Flip is underrated. he can absolutely be a lottery pick after this season. if the three can start falling, he can be a 20 and 10 guy as a frosh. good body, nice length, aggressive as hell and a high motor to go with the obvious basketball skills.

Cason Wallace didn't have a great game scoring the ball, but he impressed me last night. high iq guy on defense with the athleticism and effort to be pretty special on that end. solid passer, good decision maker and has a nice stroke. i wish he were a couple inches taller, but if he can play the lead guard, he should be fine.

Sorry to rehash this if it's discussed elsewhere (I didn't see it mentioned).

I know the headliners in this draft (Victor & Scoot) are supposed to be really good. How does the depth/quality of prospects in the back end of the 1st (20+) and the second round look? Is this a really deep draft? Is it going to be poor (like 2016)?

I'm just trying to determine how much interest I should give CBB.

btw, despite the fact that i'm not as high on scoot as most, his last three games have been pretty damn impressive, but in different ways - which i think impresses me even more.

on nov 12, he struggles shooting the ball (8-19 FGs), but goes for 16 assists.

on nov 14, he only gets 3 assists, but goes for 26 points on 16 shots - 10-16 FGs, 2-3 from three

and then i just noticed as i was looking back, today he went for 27 on 12-20 FGs.

getting it done in different ways. shot's not falling, get other dudes good shots. shot's falling, keep shooting.

looks like the guy is making the leap from his rookie g league season to his 2nd season he needed to make and then some.

I really hope Mitchell shows that he can do more than just run and dunk. He's so explosive.

I hoped he would demonstrate his ability to hit corner 3s and I liked his potential as a connector through quick and simple passes. But so far, he's just out there floating around in the dunker's spot and that's a bad sign for a Forward-sized player. I hope it's him not being used more for reasons other than that he's just not good enough to justify having touches but it's hard to see why that would be the case. Tyrese Hunter looks like the best prospect on that team at this point.

On a different team (Arkansas): Ricky Council IV has looked really good to start the season. Do-it-all wing with sufficient athleticism? That has to be intriguing to a lot of teams. I'm curious to see how the rest of the season goes for him and if he can keep it up. Also, Trevon Brazile showed some nice things. He's certainly worth keeping an eye only. Still only 19 if I'm not mistaken. They make this team worth watching even as Black hasn't popped yet.
