I'm taking Evan Mobley in a heartbeat! Cunningham isn't a franchise player. Hell I wouldn't be shocked if Ivey isn't the better of the 2 players. Cade lack of athletic ability and quickness and his inability to make a consistent 3 pt shot will be his major down fall IMO. He may make a few all-star games but that's about it

You didn't say traditional big man. You said big man, and right after describing how you think Mobley could be an amazingly versatile defensive big, but that you don't believe a big man will be able to lead his team to championships anytime soon. Where in there is it implied that you're talking about a traditional back to the basket post up center?
I didn't. I meant traditional big men, which I don't see Giannis as
You didn't say traditional big man. You said big man, which Giannis is. Right after talking about Mobley potentially becoming an amazingly versatile big man, which Giannis also is. Therefore your implication would be that a versatile big man couldn't lead a team to a championship. That may not be what you meant but it sure as hell is what you implied, and why I responded as I did.
For the record, if you want to claim that the next Shaq can't lead a team to a championship then we'll just agree to disagree.

As I said in my first response, I meant traditional big men despite not saying it. Sorry this has upset you so much.
And Shaq isn't in the league, and hasn't been for 11 years. This is a weak straw-man argument that has no bearing on the role of elite (traditional) big men in the league today.

I'm not upset at all; that's a weak straw man argument. You failed to properly communicate your intended message so of course you didn't get the response you expected. The fact that there isn't a Shaq in the league today doesn't mean there won't ever be another Shaq-like player again. Efficient scoring is efficient scoring; the manner in which the ball goes through the hoop means nothing. And speaking of Giannis, where does he score most of points? In the paint. The idea that because he's highly athletic it makes him "as far from a traditional big man as you can get" is nonsense.

Mobley isn’t a traditional big man either. So kind of a silly point regardless.

I mean what defines a "traditional big man" anyways? Usually a center right? And or someone tall that strictly plays out the post with a bevy of back to basket moves? Regardless of interior presence
In which case both Mobley and Giannis aren't a center even if they have some characteristics of a center. They're more hybrids and unique players in their own right. That much is clear

Traditional centers barely exist in the league at this point.
