20/3/7/1/1 on 8/11 shooting today, fresh off of a triple-double against Butler...

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Looks like Dariq Whitehead is going to play tonight. Most likely coming off the bench and not too many minutes. But the man is playing.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Black needs to cut that mop off his head man, or at least tie it back or something, I have no idea how he even shoots with that or even sees the rim

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Ill say this as nicely as I can. Whitehead looks like a guy that has had a broken foot and not able to do cardio for the last few months. Gotta a little extra thickness at the moment haha.

definitely has the body type that can get thick quick, kinda like Harden, and it can be the bad thick quickly if you're not paying attention.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Keyonte George didn’t look great in the box score last night, but the guy is impressive. Such an advanced offensive game for his age - pretty stroke and he can get his shot. Three level scorer and can really pass and find people. The easy comp at this point is Jamaal Murray - skillset, body type, height, athleticism all scream Murray.
And Terrance Shannon - good heavens. Jaylen Clark is one of the best wing defenders in the country and Shannon was hitting threes in his face. I might have been more impressed with his speed with the ball - he can take fly. Underrated passer/playmaker too I think.
GG Jackson is so young and plays young which makes him so tough to evaluate, but you can see glimpses. IMO, he’d have been better off going g league where it’s more up and down and there is more spacing, College basketball is a hard, grind it out style with very little spacing (especially on a **** team like SC) compared to the NBA or g league and that’s tough for a guy like GG.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Jordan Hawkins looked the part last night of taking the sophomore leap we expected of him
20/1/2 on 7/13 shooting, 5/8 from 3 with 2 steals
I think he's better than Bouknight, who he got compared to a bit for obvious reasons. He's a much more fluid ball handler, he looks rangier on defense (and much more natural on that end as well), and has a smoother jumpshot. I could see him declaring after this year, it's kind of expected, and he looks real good.

I like Filipowski. 6’11 shooter with handles. Knows how to play. Intense and aggressive on D. Plays with an edge. Basically the anti Vuc. He will help someone and space the floor. Could see him getting up 8+ 3s per game in time.

Meh. As a college and Duke fan, I absolutely love the dude so far. If he decided to play 4 years in college I for sure think he would be a Dukie legend.
But on the NBA side, I dont know I kind of see Isaiah Hartenstein with a better shot. Similar size, similar athleticism, solid passers.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
What is everyone's feel on Cason Wallace? Im all caught up on UK games and Im pretty meh on him. To be clear, when I say "meh" im talking as a top 10 pick which is where Im starting to see him a lot in current mock drafts.
I get it, without a doubt stud defender. Im definitely not questioning that aspect of his game. I get the idea is hoping he becomes a Jrue/Smart kind of player. But my big question mark with him (this was my big question mark with him in high school), his handle is so basic and nondynamic (especially his left hand). I just question the offensive ceiling in the NBA.
Again dont get me wrong, I definitely think he is a lock for a 1st round pick. Just have a hard time taking a guard top 10 with big offensive question marks (ala Davion Mitchell a couple years back).
