Absolutely. He should be playing like 20 - 24 mpg in the regular season though.

The defensive potential of this team is clearly best in the league when they play those players. They've been the best defense in the league since Harden went out. But, I don't see how they can maintain it when he returns. I know what they need to do, I just don't know how they do it. They have to appease Harden this year to ensure they can keep him... That includes not pissing off Tucker. That's just how this game works. But, with Joel playing the way he is, maybe he fixes the defense himself.

Was great seeing Tyrese actually cook in this big game. Hope he's back by Tuesday.

Yeah, I don't think it's possible to be a good defensive team with Maxey and Harden constantly on the court together. They could try to fix this by mixing lineups a bit. From these performances it is clear that this team has a lot of potential, just a bit of coaching creativity is needed.

Any team that has a traffic cone like Maxey will never be good defensively, it is what it is. He would be better suited in a Lou Williams type of role from the bench.

Trez is making it hard for me to not like him. Love his pettiness. This is the type of stuff that made me interested in signing him.

I want to enjoy that, as a Sixers fan, but I like Giannis and think he's a good dude (feel the opposite about Trez) so I can't ha.

After last night they've got the 3rd best defense in the league based on DRTG. And that includes the terrible start to the year.

He almost always is. The guy has been posting cardio box scores before hustling his ass off to win playoff games for years now. When will people learn that he's more of a 16 game player than an 82 game player at this stage in his career?

Maybe someone should clue Glenn in to this fact. Not that it would have any impact.

Lol Embiid was just trying to stop his Momentum. Giannis plows his shoulders into his defender every time he drives the ball and gets away with it .Is that not a basketball play?.

Having him and Tobias on the wings is not good enough. Tucker needs length and athleticism next to him as he provides the strength and hustle.

The Tobias injury allowing Reed to play minutes at the 4 next to Embiid made me happy, their defense looked great together

Maxey was on a boot after the game, i hope precaution but bad sign. Injuries are killing us.

He was asked about growing together and he was talking about how Shake used to piss him off and he doesn't now. I mean, seeing it from the distance i think both have gone past that, Joe ended the phrase with a "He's come a long way".

More evidence sixers fans should stay off GB and I need to start taking my own advice. Somehow Giannis knocking over a ladder and trez responding makes the whole city dirty and classless lol.

I think it could have been a flagrant 2, but I don’t think it was dirty or intentional. I think Embiid got caught at a weird angle, saw a freight train bearing down on him, and instinctively extended the elbow to protect himself. Honestly, I don’t think it was much worse than the blocking foul on Giannis earlier where his shoulder made contact with Embiid’s face.

The Trez actions after the game were chippy and petty, but also totally within the rights of a team on their home court. It’s no different than the little games players get in during games: hooking arms and pulling jerseys. It’s up to Giannis to not get goaded into doing something stupid. If he had hit somebody with the ladder, it would have been unbelievably stupid.
