Re: Pacers vs Magic 11-19 7pm
That was one hard fought win. Very enjoyable game. When was the last time we had that number of buzzer-beater type shots in one game?
Orlando is good. They have a lot of young talent. I hate to say it, but we may be lucky to be playing them twice while they have so many injuries to players. If the Pacers did not exist, I could picture being a fan of theirs.
Who knew Bol Bol could do the things he was doing out there in this game? I remember during his draft thinking he would likely be broken in half by stronger players. Talk about getting it wrong! He is really something else to watch.
Got to mention Terry Taylor. If you only look at the box score, all you see is one field goal, one free throw and two rebounds in five minutes. Doesn't sound like much, until you remember the point in the game at which those occurred. His play was more important that the stats show. Very timely.
It was great to see Haliburton not hampered by the ankle injury from the previous game. Really looking forward to the next game. Don't think I felt that way through most of last season. Or the season before that.

Almost forgot about this little gem.
Does this bring a former Pacers guard to mind for anyone else?

Also need a shout out to Aaron Nesmith with maybe the best game of his career. Knocking down 3’s and the game winning play. Now looking forward to seeing if this is a one-off. This team continues to give a reason to look forward to the next one.
Saw an article on the Athletic questioning how long Rick Carlisle will have interest in coaching this team. Looks to me like he’s enjoying this group. It’s gotta be more fun than last year.

Haven't seen the article, but does it come off as a bit of "click-bait"?

A root canal would be more fun than last year. At least up to the point of the trade with Sacto. Glad that is in the past. It will sound cruel to say it, but I'm also glad some of those players are in the past. Good grief, this roster is so much better than it was last year.

Amazing game last night. I only watched the second half. I unfortunately got too busy to make a game thread and i won't be able to make any until late december. I am flying out tuesday to attend the world cup with my brother. I planned on making GDT's til tomorrow's game but i just got swamped with stuff and trying to avoid this massive snow storm that hit buffalo. haha i apologize

Wait, what? This seems shocking to me. The team is on the right track and he is losing interest?

it was one paragraph in an article about coaches on the move written by Kravitz. Bob is convinced Turner is gone and wrote that Carlisle might not be happy coaching here if they blow up the team. the problem with what he wrote is they won't blow up the team and a key reason why is that Carlisle has the power to stop it - as does Herbie. now Bob could have inside information on how much Turner wants to leave but I think he's just wrong.

stats were good too. he was +8 in only 5 minutes of a close game. they let him play in Ft Wayne Sunday and he put up 29 and 18.
