Yup, Orlando's young core has gotten a major upgrade from.
1. Banchero looking really good early on.
2. Bol Bol coming in and looking like a big time impact player and also on a cheap 2 year deal.
3. Jalen Suggs has taken some big strides forward after his rookie season of being the only player with a worse TS% than Killian.

Orlando fans have some major reasons to be excited about the future now.

I think Suggs still looks terrible and Wagner have been inconsistent. Suggs will be a Marcus Smart type of player I guess. They need better guards.

He looked really, really good against us but I see he's had a few dud games this year as well.

Both Suggs and Wagner are still young and showing promise. My goodness, when I see Wagner playing the one for them and somewhat pulling it off, the man has a long future in the NBA. Unfortunately, I think Bol Bol is an accident waiting to happen. That body type holding up through an NBA season? Possible I suppose, but unlikely. Banchero pulling this off his rookie year speaks volumes for his potential. Like Cade though, his high level of playing isn't creating fear in anyone or wins for his team. Give both those guys a few more years and real NBA talent around them....

Did everyone see Bols game today? I think Bol has shown more in this season than Bagley has shown his whole career. If only we had just kept him and then resigned him like Orlando did, Weaver made a dumb move. We were going nowhere anyway so the risk vs reward was so low.

Wasn't Hayes just like 17-8-8-2? Where's his highlight video?

You mean the 38% FG 25% 3PT -8 +/- game?

Hayes is still an awful player and a negative on the court, while Bol has been great. Hayes is improving tho, let's hope he continue to improve and some day maybe he will be a NBA rotation player.

I'd love to keep this thread about Bol Bol, and if you want to bait me and start a worthless discussion, Bagley would fit here as well, since we acquired Bagley after the Bol Bol trade was cancelled.

We can talk about how much Hayes hurt our team in another thread if you want tho, I have no problem with that, and there's plenty of data to support that.

This was a baiting thread at inception.

Bol Bol doesn't play for the Pistons nor is he being discussed in trade talks, possible acquisitions, etc.

I’m excited about Hayes’ turnaround and how he’s played a big role in the winning culture we’re starting to build. Maybe Orlando will start to be competitive some day too.

The more I think about the Pistons cancelled trade for Bol Bol the I would really love to know the real reason why we cancelled it. What did team doctors see on those medical reports that scared them? Or was it not wanting to take up a roster spot? We will never know, but I’m still definitely salty it didn’t go through haha

It was for medical reasons, nothing else would make any sense. Weaver made a decision to trade for Bol Bol, he had to pay very little, he had an injury and the trade was cancelled, that's simple, and it sucks for us, because the guy can play and he can do a lot of things we've been missing.

Why did this thread die down during Bol's recent 2 point and 3 point performances recently? Did his #1 heaux die during that time and come back to life now?

He had a foot injury in college.... when Detroit did the physical they didn't like how the foot x-rays looked and thought he needed surgery. The Nuggets staff actually agreed and Bol Bol got surgery like a week after the trade was rescinded. So he did have legit lingering damage in the foot that needed to be addressed. The reason the Pistons didn't want the deal to go through was because they were giving up that player and pick(s) for the chance to get to know and see Bol Bol ahead of his upcoming FA. If they would have kept the trade they really only would have gotten him in their system, but not gotten a chance to actually see him play with them team during the season.
