Well.. according the two games that I watched, it is more because of offense than of defense.
He shot 10 threes because he might think he is their better 3PT shooter(can not say he is totally wrong), and he has the confidence to do so after seeing his lousy teammates in the first half. He figured it out. No one can block his shot anyway.
He can shoot threes and long twos all he wants in the NBA if he is allowed also, so I think it is more because of offense. He think he is the best option, and fans like to see it also help the case.
He indeed is their best slasher and low post scorer, so totally justified to shoot as much as he wants. However, as I said in earlier post, the move is still not beautiful.
He is the best option in offense, hence, he is trigger happy.
