I actually sat and watched the game today. I must say, the Wizards were a little better than that final score suggests. Porzingis had an absolutely horrific night, missing a ton of bunnies under minimal defensive pressure. If he just has a modestly bad game, this is an easy 10 point win.
I really liked the starting lineup with Deni as the nominal PG. I'd really like to see Wes stick with it a while and see if Deni can grow into the role. It allows our 5 best players to be on the court together (Porzingis, Beal, Kuzma, Deni, Kispert).

Our schedule to this point is a cause for caution.
My optimistic note is how well we’ve managed to do without
Wright who I believe has an outsized effect on the team compared
to what one would expect from a backup PG. I grant that that
opinion results from a pretty small sample size of data/observations.

The next stretch of games will be an indicator.
MIA x2, BOS and BKN, all on the road
I would not be surprised to see us go 0-4. (also a game against the Twolves we could easily lose)
the schedule after that remains difficult as well.
People, we must live in the now. What is right in front of us. As the faux-mystics like to say: be present.
I'm happy with the way they are playing. I'm just cautioning those who are being fooled into believing this is a good team. They're not. They're a little worse than average. Recent posts suggesting the team could make the 2nd round of the playoffs are ludicrous.
Ludicrous…time will tell.
The better outcome would be to finish as you predict, 11th. If the team disappoints then a Beal trade can happen.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I re-watched several of the games as well... full agreement with you on that point.
Just one more note, this group seems to play hard.
