Mexico playing well, spurred on by their incredible fans.

Sneezy made some good saves.

Special mention to the ref in this game he's letting the game flow pretty well.

Mexico was very good but all it takes is one f up and they can lose the game. They should have at least a goal.

I'm really surprised by how narrow Poland's defence is. Mexico are exploiting the flanks so easily, they've just lacked the quality to put the ball in the net, so far.

Not sure I agree with that one. I guess the shirt grab did him in.

Wow! What an eruption of noise in the stadium as Ochoa saved that penalty.

Ochova legend lives on. Once every 4 years this one raises from his coffin to live among mortals.

Memo still a solid goalkeeper.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

This game just came to life. Mexican fans are generating one heck of an atmosphere here, and they're creating some chances. A cross-turned-shot was headed on by the Mexican striker, and almost caught Szczesny out. Poland look incredibly lethargic, bereft of ideas.

He has to go down as one of the greatest WC keepers ever. Literally every WC he becomes a monster.

If the score stays 0-0 surely Poland would be the happier with the result

Hard to gauge without having watched the game, but I'd question using Messi and Di Maria together. Relying on two older playmakers against a team that looked pretty good physically, if not technically, at least judging by the height of that dude's somersault after scoring.

I've got a soft spot for Otamendi, Benfica's captain. Enzo Fernandez, current Benfica young future super star, and Di Maria is a former Benfica phenom. Started his european career there. But this upset is one for the ages.

Likely the biggest sports win in Saudi Arabian history, surpassing their stunning defeat of Belgium in 1994.

Argentina is still likely to finish atop the group though.

0-0 tie between Mexico and Poland.
Denmark also drew 0-0 with Tunisia. Dare I say, this is classic Danish football: all defensive structure and no creativity or flair up front. They haven't had a creative playmaker since the Laudrup brothers.

If only noted goal scorer Lewandowski could score in the World Cup...

Each chance the pressure is heavier and it shows.
