l am very curious to see who starts tonight, with Dame and GP2( :banghead: ) not available. This maybe:
Simons/Sharpe(Y)/Grant/Winslow(O)/Nurkic. I sure hope so, because I like the mix of (O)ld and (Y)oung with both the starting squad and bench. Having Winslow help Simons with the ball-handling duties is the determining reason he's there along with his D at the top of the circle. Hart(O)/Little(Y)/Eubanks, and a breakout performance by Watford (Big ask, but needed), or Walker (if Watford's not up to the task) should give us our best chance at the W. Keon's ball-handling will also be sorely missed if he can't go, and will be a major deciding factor as well. Really hope HE suits up.

Prediction: I think 3 out of our 4 Bigs will accept the most difficult challenge we face tonight (Milwaukie's size), and we will see another electrifying post-Dame performance, and one of the best games of the year... if not THE Best. Just a hunch. W!

On a side note, I think Chauncey has made some notable errors recently and has caught a little heat for the first time. I expect his' performance to also be much improved, and should make a big difference as well.

I think their going to run a lot of offense though Nurk, as they seem to do whenever Dame is injured so I actually expect a pretty good game from him. Probably get some good defense as well since he won't be pouting over his touches.

I highly doubt we'll win though unless Simons goes nuclear from the 3.

Rough game, but this was going to be a tough one to win even with a fully healthy team.

Need to see more from Grant and Sharpe. They've not produced enough the last few games. Would like to see Little step up more, as well.

Ya, we need Grant to play like a 3rd option to remain a HCA PO team. If the early start was a flash in the pan and he reverts back to simply 'high caliber role player', this teams ceiling is considerably lower.

Sharpe has been great but he can be passive at times.

Feel bad we wasted one of Hart's few good shooting games on a L. Guy was playing he heart out as usual.

Little still looks confused at times. His handle is just so bad. He should never be dribbling more than like 3 times. It really doesnt look like he has developed much if at all, still inconsistent, bad handle, settles for dribble-dribble-dribble-long 2 shots way too often. Kid should be catching the ball on cuts and shooting open 3's on offense - thats all he can do efficiently.

Agreed. Not much to marvel at as Sharpe was off, but they did play pretty well, especially in the 1st half. And lack of health indeed played a big part, especially at the PG. Winslow did a great job as the b/u as always, but missing Dame, GP2 & Keon is just too much of a hit, and it shows by the lack of ball movement and poorer shooting. Again, the guys played well IMO, - Sharpe, but nobody really exceeded PAR level.

What's becoming clear to me, especially after last night is, we are still too small and will absolutely need to address it ASAP, or lose games that we can win, until a change is made. Even with a healthy Nurk who played pretty well I thought, Eubanks and a decent showing from Watford... The enforcement of inside the painted area is quite weak. This WILL become more known throughout the league, and our W/L column will suffer.

I just don't want to wait if we don't need to. We should know it's a problem that needs fixin'. So please, JOE, Fix it! IMO, we need a starting level C to add to what we currently have, and if we can get one now we absolutely should. I strongly believe Cronin and his team are all over this, it's not too hard to see, but I really hope he quickly moves on from the Diamond in the Rough level of search. He must have a wish/target list right!? Pick the guy at the top and make a play for him NOW, and overpay (w/ FFRP/s) to do it.

I'll save it for the correct thread, but I do hope it becomes M. Williams, because due to the many circumstances: like availability, fit, cost, risk/reward, etc... I think he checks all the boxes. If you are ever bored at work and have 10 mins to burn, pull his last year highlight on the youtube. It's 10 mins, and one will quickly see why I love him over Nurkic (Not one single flip shot) as our C for the future. Sorry Eubanks.

Its not often that teams trade first year guys that are former lotto picks.

I think the size issue starts with having two tiny guards more so than not enough big post guys. Nurkic and Eubanks make a pretty bulky C rotation. I would love to find a way to get a starting PF and slide Hart + Grant up a slot but that likely requires moving Ant and IMO the FO see him as a long term guy.

Really dont think we make any trades this year unless something cataclysmic happens.
