Correct. Individual skills and fit always will play the bigger role. That is why the SIM even with it's flaws is far greater than 2K which is just get out of the way of the big ball handler and let him ISO.

Scheme and fit and attributes. I settled on a very good offensive strategy last year for my team and that combined with my players skill sets played off of each other well. I think Curry shot 45% from 3 on great volume. If he drops to to say 42% I don't think that changes my outlook drastically.

ANNOUNCEMENT,

Wolverine Studios has announced that the official version of the sim will be launched tomorrow. It will take me a few days to input all of the teams, upload screen shots of teams rosters and ratings and then change minutes and rotations. At this time, we are looking at an opening night, one week from today, Tuesday, November 29th. As in past years, I will sim two BaF days every night until we are caught up to real time action. Then, we will sim day by day to match the actual calendar.

At this time, we have had 11 teams send in their preseason power rankings. If you have not done so yet, please get them in by 10PM Friday. I will put the official rankings up on Saturday.

Beginning Saturday, teams can start sending in their rotations and minutes. Once again, all minutes must be distributed in even minutes only. Players can not be assigned an odd number of minutes as the sim plays in blocks of two minutes. Please make sure that your minute distribution adds up to 48 total minutes per position and 240 minutes total. A sample rotation/minute distribution is posted below.

Over the next couple of days I will post any additional transactions I have in my inbox. Also, once I can get into the released version of the sim and start putting teams together, I will reach out to anyone who has a player not in the final version to let them know that that player must go on the EL if they want to keep their rights. All teams must have legal and official rosters by Monday, 8PM. If you don't have a legal roster, 13 players minimum, ineligible player on your active roster, etc. I will be forced to fix your roster for you.

If anyone has any questions, please ask them sooner than later. I will try and be online a bit more over the next couple of days but will be busy with roster building in the sim. I will answer all questions as soon as possible.

Can perennial powerhouses in Portland or Chicago finally get over the hump? Find out, starting one week from tonight!

My full strength rotation is already ready. I got the DeMar only, Lonzo only, and Jarrett Allen only, and non big 3 lineups done too I need the pair lineups done when I'm off vacation.

The goal is 52-55% shooting from the field and around 120 ppg as a team. If I fall short I failed. Hopefully my squad is as good as Smash was last year (I think I'm still short of MPH) and I can move DeMar or Holmes for a shot at glory after 1/15.

Edit I'm also going to try to keep up with advanced stats ALL YEAR and publish them maybe biweekly. That way others know the advanced stat leaders.

Since steals and blocks have officially been recorded in 1973-1974, Anthony Davis is the first player to record 35+ points, 20+ rebounds, 5+ steals, and 5+ blocks in a game.

Last 4 game averages. 35.5ppg, 18.25rb, 2.5 blk

This is true. The overall stars rating... I'm not quite sure where it gets you. I had Gobert - 3.5, Shai 3.5, and George/LeBron 4 last year but the team played better than that. It's just something to throw hands about before the real fun starts.

Westbrook was a 5 star player last season. He averaged 14 ppg in the first round of the playoffs. He also fouled out three of four games but that’s besides the point lol. You can have a 5 star guy(s) and still miss the mark.

It's the only way to beat a team that so vastly beats you in talent. I had 3 close ass games in the regular season with you, 2 without Ben lol.

Passive might be my go to though. I still need to figure out how defenses work that's my goal for the sim this year. I think I got offenses figured out already.

I think Booker (based on the numbers I think they use for the sim) will be 1st team All NBA with Dejounte Murray. He'll be one of the best Gs in the sim. If Hali is more tuned to what he did in Indiana the Knicks are scary next year.
