You want a bad contract? Its Ben.

You even have to f up your team just to fit him in

Congratulations on the win

Ben got you Harden

History has shown that Tobias is totally worthless on the trade market & has been since the day Elton signed him to that ridiculous contract

Thanks, it’s a blessing in disguise.

Imagine how bad our situation would have been if we had traded Tobias instead.

That Tobias contract is ridiculous but we’re rich. We still have Brett Brown and Brand in our payroll. We even just casually waived Isaiah Joe, Foster Jr., Bassey and Queen.

I can remember how many fans here would want to have DLo and the oft injured Brogdon instead. Tobias harris didn’t really hurt our chances in signing good FAs like D12, Drummond, Niang, Tucker or House Jr.

And if Tobias keeps this top 60 player numbers up (RPM&RAPTOR) with raw numbers to back it up (15ppg on 56TS%, 2.0 stocks, 2.87 DRPM) he and his $39M expiring will be quite an asset next season.

While I dont know if there’s any team that would pay Ben $37 to $40M per year with all the distractions and sacrifice you need to make just to max out his talent which isnt much (top 180 player right now)

Ben is regressing to the mean so good for him.

But also still the same flaws, he started this game pretty good but outside of transition he was piss poor the minute Doc put Reed in the floor.

I also still think he's kind of maximized in this rooster by the fact the Nets don't have a real big, the minute they get one to solve their size issues Ben is gonna become a problem.

I don't know, i'm just happy is not our problem anymore lol

No points, no shots, no assists in the 4th. He disappeared when it matters. Like almost always.

He has literally had one good game all year. 11pts isn't scaring anyone

Ben still doesn't look healthy to me.

His back deal is real, he looks so stiff out there. He is playing the same way, but with less fluidity and athletic ability.

He's a flawed player, but I hope he gets healthy at least.

This.

Once his contract is up, he should try to revive his career by trying to play for the Pels or Bucks where both teams are structured for a non-shooting high usage player like him. Nuggets is also a possibility where he replaces Aaron Gordon.

It is a tailor made situation for Ben IMO.

A year later, this aged like blue cheese lmao

He should play a different sport. He might be good as an ironman Triathlon, Rugby, American Football or Australian football.

I think he's playing himself into buyout contention so he can play a few seasons of AFL

Wouldn't last 5 minutes in low level Australian rules football. He is uncoachable and that has been what has ruined his basketball career.

Someone that helped coach him in Australia rules football as a junior told me what he was like - he was a great athlete, but just an ok-good player. Though he was the greatest and wouldn't listen to the coaches. Would never have made it to a decent level of football.

He was a trojan horse. Not only did we get back Harden we broke up their superteam

via New York Post
Sources told The Post that Durant personally spoke with the upper echelons of 76ers management amid the Harden-Ben Simmons trade talks. While Harden’s time in Brooklyn had clearly run it’s course, many around the league would say the trade return is the problem. “It wasn’t the first Harden trade that was the problem; it was the second,” the Eastern Conference GM said. “Taking back Simmons was the killer

Worst contract in the league until it becomes an expiring 2 years from now

Wait Durant personally spoke with the upper echelons of the 76ers management ? What is Durant saying as a member of the Nets. "Don't trade for Harden?" "What is Ben like as a teammate?" What could Durant have to say?

Ok makes some sense. The Nets management go to KD and say Harden wants out and we are thinking of trading him to the 76ers. KD goes woe woe woe I want to talk to Ben to see where his mind is at. So a call is made to 76ers management on behalf of KD. Hey guys before we make this trade KD wants to chat with Ben would that be cool? And Ben says "Hey KD I've been working on my game it gonna take me a week or two to get into game shape but I am 100% ready to contribute." Trade approved.
