I peeked in on Gopherhole and they are surprisingly realistic about the whole thing. Most know that they probably won't get anyone better than Fleck, although you do have a couple yahoos throwing around Urban Meyer and Tony Dungy's names.

Lane Kiffin to Auburn apparently and when I saw the news I yelled. God I hope it's true.

I'm not buying LSU over USC. I get that you want to reward good wins, but they had their 4 toughest games at home and lost 2 of them. A 1-point home loss to FSU, regardless of their recent improvement, is still clearly worse than a 1-point loss on the road to Utah, and beating Alabama doesn't make up for getting blown out at home against Tennessee. I guess the premise is that USC would have 3 losses playing LSU's schedule, but I don't think that's a fair assumption.

It probably won't matter because USC will almost surely jump someone if they win out, but I prefer to keep the playoff intensity of the regular season, and I think favoring a 2-loss team like LSU diminishes the importance of winning regular season games. I do have sympathy for the importance of strength of schedule when there are more dramatic differences, but I think it's misused here.

This is why a 12 team playoff is welcome. Some years the top 4 is obvious and other years there are too many variables. Better to argue over who should be 11 and 12. Of course it's not like the NFL in terms of parity, the bottom few in the 12 teamer will have little chance to win the title (as opposed to the NFL where every team at least has a shot). But it would be fun to see an 11 seed get on a roll in the playoffs.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Rhule seems like a pretty good hire to me. It's going to be a tough road for Nebraska, though, trying to re-emerge just as we bring two more top-25 teams into the conference and likely into their division (assuming they are kept in some form). Not to much in fighting for recruits, but in getting Ws to the program look appealing again.

Dumb question, but Is there no rule for players wearing the same number in college? I saw #2 lined up outside at corner and thought Blake Corum was playing defense

Yeah this has been awesome. Obviously several classes above UW right now; glad we won't have the agony of that match-up this year.

Whoever at Fox that decided to shoot the game from a blimp should be fired.

Definitely don't want to be misunderstood - hate both of these teams, and also appreciate someone from the B10 being in the playoffs and title talks even as annoying as it is that it isn't us. But I'm definitely pulling for Michigan here to potentially make it two years without O$U in the playoffs. I love that they're talking about a coach with 4 losses in 5 years being on the hot seat, lol.

ETA: And that should do it.

I just want two Big Ten teams in the playoffs. I figure what's good the Big Ten overall is usually also good for Wisconsin. Hope OSU makes it close enough to stay ahead of some other 1-loss teams, but they might be out if this holds up.
