Re: Nets vs Sixers
This is why you need franchise player like Curry, LBJ, Giannis etc who not only exceptional talent but the leader of the man.
KD is great player, but he's a second fiddle guy. He will never win chip as a lead guy. He never did, he never will.
Kyrie is Kyrie. Any team he's been on either imploded or underachieved. Combination of both happened in Boston and here. Only player that was able to hold him in check for one damn year is washed up and cares about life outside the NBA now.
Ben... the jury is still up on him. I just don't believe in him at all. He is more talented version of Dray who's not as good of a leader.
Tell me which coach or GM can handle this clowns? Pop's? That ain't happening. Ime? He got issues himself. Who...?

I hope now that Kyrie is back that the chemistry don't go to s*** . Joe Harris is such a waste out there at this point. We would of won if we had Yutasanity
We saying same thing in different words. This team has no leader. Got all the talent in the world to be a dynasty, yet always implode.
This don't happen to teams with such talent that being led by Pop's, Pat, Zen etc. Barkley nailed it when he said we sorry and soft. It's a fact.

If Marks is smart, he would tear it up already. Their time has come and gone. You can feel it and it’s heartbreaking but they have to start over

Bruh we lost with a healthy squad to a Sixers team without Embiid, Harden, or Maxey. WTF.
This team isn’t as talented as people think.

Ben is not more talented than Draymond. Draymond is a defensive savant, has always been way better than Simmons on that end of the floor. And he’s way better offensively too. Two different classes of player.

Re: Nets vs Sixers
This team is just a disaster.
Honestly losses like this are excusable if we didn't **** up the whole start of the season.
We needed this win. The Sixers were missing half their team and were playing way harder.
Defense has been horrid the last few games. Particularly 3 point defense which has been a problem all season. STOP OVERHELPING.
Our own 3 point shooting has been terrible. And the ultimate culprit is Joe Harris. I think we need to bench him and let other guys play.

Lol
Simmons is maybe 75% fit and still putting up better numbers than Draymond
There's literally no comparison between them as players
Well, maybe 1
They both hit no 3s

Re: Nets vs Sixers
KD is just a strange dude
Appears happy some days, totally out of it the next
20 odd points today was a massive fail against that team, his defence was appalling and body language worse
Gets his friend back & goes full on sulk mode
And don't get me started on Kyrie today as I have no idea what he was doing for the most part
Joe is obviously struggling as is Seth & Clax seems to have caught the disease as well
And for the love of fkn *** get a centre
Dwight friggin' Howard might be old & crazy but there's no way that he gives up all those ORs

Sean Marks should have zero confidence from this fanbase right now. Zero. The MLE sat unused while he failed to address the lack of size upfront.

The only way to fix this problem is to fix the damn roster. No more Harris, no more Mills, Irving and Curry cannot be out there together, we need size, we need a ****’ retool. I hate this team for how it destroyed the fan base and took the fun out of basketball. Marks literally needs to get three productive role players in this roster with size and shooting to help us. Even if we beat Toronto, Indy will tear us up.

He tries to be too cute with the signings and dances around the teams needs.
Last year it was no wings and he did nothing to address it. This season its bigs. Theres no excuse either since Howard was available the whole time.

It’s not to late to sign a big or trade for a big with 64 games left, but because the Nets have always been incompetent, they never fail to let us down.

Kyrie had a quiet 23 points. He show zero leadership or emotion. It was like looking at a guy at work staring at his watch waiting for the day to end to get the hell out of there.
Joe was abysmal. I still think he needs time get his game back after the injury, surgery's and time off but he really needs to be better.
KD had an off night one had attempt or maybe 2 from 3. But it was his overall effort on both ends that was subpar. His worst outing of the year.
Ben was the only bright spot. He came out of the locker room first to face the Philly crowd. He got involved on both ends and did a lot of things that don't show up in the boxscores.
I am still puzzled on why JV pulled our guys with 3:00 minutes left being down by I think 10 points. I get that we play 5 games in 7 nights but is 3 minutes going to really make that big a difference?

Numbers and eye test say otherwise. Dray's leadership is what gives him an edge, you know he won't shrink and will do anything to win, where you definitely can't say same about Ben. He falls back and watch from the side.
Like I said, lack of talent is why Dray be using dirty plays. It's just talent level that prevents him being top ten player.
Ben has all the tools, just don't have that heart in him that Dray has.

Re: Nets vs Sixers
This was a dissapointment of a game for sure. Was kind of a trap game as well with all attention seem to be on Ben returning to Philly.
To his Credit he actually seemed to handle it pretty well and played well. good hustle and energy.
We came out well with good passing and spreading and it looked like all was good but Philly adjusted and got hot from 3. The 2nd chance point on the boards they got definetly didnt help
We need to Box out MUCH more, I mean Embiid wasnt even playing!
Also too much ball watching and late getting out on guys making 3's this was by everyone. Especially when they got hot and seemed to be making everything from 3. Adjust and get out and shut that down!
seems like everytime we tied it it up they came back with made 3's and pulled ahead again.
We needed someone to step up especially against these reserves!
Harris didnt have a great game agreed and has been more cold than hot lately, dont think he is good enough on D to be guarding Tobais which he was asked to do quite a bit.
I think we also missed some Hustle Watanabe.
It seems like we think we are just going to shoot our way back into the game. But it dont work like that you have to hustle on D to get stops!
On to Toronto

We're on back to back and got 5 games in 6 days. He should’ve done that earlier because that team didn't show last night at all beside Ben, as you mentioned.
I'm going to do calculative speculation here with Joe and JV. Vaughn just didn't want to kill entire confidence that Joe lacking already. If you think Royce, Seth and Ben not passing him the ball in the 3rd Q was unnoticed by him, I'd strongly disagree. He shrank even more after Kyrie forced switch on Tobby. Tobby cooked Joe entire 2nd half and JV didn't do jack sh** to help, he also let Joe play through it which led to blow out ass whipping. Joe needs to go to D LEAGUE and get his ge right, until than he's unplayable. It's not the 1st game team isolate him and bust our ass.
I'm 100 % agree with your take on KD. No effort whatsoever on D, he just stood in restricted area entire 1st Q and watched them shoot wide open 3's, he also didn't want to box out or fight for rebound. We got smoked mainly because he was killing team with lack of effort.
Kyrie did his 9 to 6 and while being complete ass. 35m? This bum stealing money at this point.
This game showed me something that I've seen during LA game. Candace pointed it out too. Teams just pull Nic out from painted area and at all cost and than crush paint if shot is missed. JV and Kokoskov also don't know how to set rotations. Seth, Joe and Patty consistently being put on the island after PnR where Nic ends up on top of the key. They didn't adjust at all.
Bottom line here is, if your coach being out coached by Doc and rookie Ham, we in some deep shi* here. Not getting Ime was/is huge mistake. Could've tested him here and go from there. If it didn't work out just use harassment as an excuse, if he is all that, just say you believe in giving people 2nd chance.
