I was very positive last year, when was evident in second part of the season, specially after the trade, that Mavs have something with that 3 guard lineup. Unfortunately that ended soon in offseason, where they didn't only lose Brunson, but didn't address obvious lack of guards capable of ball handling. This game just shows immense difference between Mavs and good teams. Watching Bullock, DFS and Josh attacking the rim is something else, difficult to find similarly one dimensional team.
So basically you crapped on them the first part of the year.

Maybe we'll all be lucky enough have a positive Bob the second half of the year again

Unfortunately positive or negative Bob want change anything for the Mavs. Nico and Kidd should do something, but that looks like twilight zone at the moment.
Welp Dec 15th will be here before you know it. Even if its shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic I would do it and see if it clicks.

If Luka and Wood could play 48 minutes every game, Mavs might have a chance for something.

But can they make FTs to close out the game.

The bigger problem is their D honestly. The plan might be Luka and Wood taking all the shots and you surrounded them with 3 great defenders, who play 48 minutes also.

Out of twilight zone, please just trade Bullock and THJ for anything.

Powell and McGee are completely worthless and represent our only players over 6'10.
That is a huge problem.

Dumb&Dumber (THJ, Bullock) were AGAIN 3/13 tonight. Green fought entire game, played smart stayed within his lane +11 and only 22 minutes.

Luka, Green, Wood were together on the floor when they made a run. That's not a coincidence anymore Kidd. Do they have any stats guys over there wtf is this BS. Every game same **** logic.

Raptors, Bucks, GSW next. Yeah GL with that.

Kidd needs to play the team's best players more. Less THJ and Reggie. More Wood and Green.

Sometimes it's that simple.

This team isn't good.
Bullock is a good defender, but without Brunson, if he isn't shooting lights out, he's unplayable.
THJ is playing like the sum of all our fears before re-signing him, if his shot isn't falling he's a bad basketball player and he hasn't shot well since the Clippers in the PO.
Kidd is a bad coach, he has no idea how to build an offense, he has 0 eye for talent, and he's delusional in his team building, Kokoskov was essential.
There is something to salvage from this season, but it needs to start with the understanding that all of the assumptions from the offseason were simply wrong.
This team can't do without 3 good ball handler, and you need ball movement and offensive creativity to cover for it, like under RC, this isn't happening under Kidd, no way Jose.
You need to play Wood, Green and Bertans major minutes, you need offensive production and fast break options, Bullock, THJ and McGee give you none of it.
You need to gamble on you young players, play Hardy and MWIV, their mistakes are helpful in their learning, and you may get something from it, THJ and Bullock mistakes are just waste at this points, this team has gone on too many bad runs with Luka and starters on the floor, you can afford bad runs with your young guys.

The sooner Nico and Marc understand this, the better.

I never thought I'd say I'm more comfortable with Green taking a 3 than DFS or Bullock.
Green brings energy, athleticism, defense, some playmaking, and 3pt shooting.

I also think Dorsey would be a more consistent version of THJ and Hardy could become a legit bench scorer.

Move Green to the starting lineup with Maxi and Wood - Luka/SD/Green/Wood/Maxi
Trade THJ and Powell for a legit starting caliber center or a damn good backup center.
Bring Hardy and Dorsey up and have a bench of Hardy/Dorsey/Bullock/DFS/Maxi or backup obtained from THJ/Powell trade.

What the hell do we have to lose at this point?

I agree that there needs to be a lineup change. There are 2 obvious ones that have not performed and that is Powell and Bullock. Kidd keeps saying you have to "earn your minutes" to play. They have clearly not earned their minutes. Be consistent Kidd.

Amazing response, who is Kidd asking on that staff? Dudley?
We're very close, only thing needed is to track down the guy responsible for what the starting lineup should be, it's probably the same genius that thought there aren't any minutes for Dragic.

This offseason was really a big joke. Mavs lost second best player for nothing and gave 34 years old veteran rim protector, who can't even get in rotation, 3 years contract. On top of that we evidently lost the coach, who was the brain of offensive play.

Even if Kidd put Wood and Green in the starting lineup, which they deserve, nothing much can change. You have 0 rim protection in the starting lineup and you have nobody to generate offense on the bench.

Btw. Bullock's on/off is -16. :o

Boston had 14 fast break points to our 6

We had 52 points in the paint Boston 48.

Biggest lead, Boston 27pts, Mavs 2pts.

Yeah, Dinwiddie should go to the bench, and carry heavier load in 24 minutes rather than help Luka with the 1st unit and play 36 MPG every game.
I'd roll with Green/Luka/DFS/Wood/Kleber as starting lineup, and Dinwiddie/THJ/Bullock/Bertans/McGee in the 2nd unit.

This is both sad and hillarious at the same time. Perfectly sums up Mavs season so far. I don't even understand how Luka got to 9 assists. The Wood PnR is probably the best weapon Kidd has but doesn't use it often because he can't even figure out who to play together and has to ask his staff  PRO NBA coach folks.

I remember when Rick played Maxi/Luka PnR into oblivion and Mavs had the best offense in the league. Fun times.
