So who are we going to draft with the third overall pick?

If the Packers are picking that high I'd be trying to trade down into #4 or #5 and take Carter or Anderson, probably in that order.

If Love is the exact same prospect coming out college, where does he rank among the 2023 QB draft class and where is he picked overall?

He's with Levis, behind Stroud and Young but with upside you dream about.

I'm usually all about trading down. Depends on who's available though.

I'm assuming the Packers won't take a QB high and they'll give a season to Love. Or Rodgers is back and they want to add to the team around him.

Regardless, I don't see them taking Young, Stroud, or Levis. I know Young has been comped to Rodgers, but he's so small.

So beyond that, if they're picking high enough, they'll have their choice of elite front seven defensive dudes, the rare first round RB in Robinson to take the place of Jones, or Michael Mayer. I think it would be hard to screw up a top eight or so pick this season.

It's always a crapshoot.

I don't watch nearly enough CFB outside of the Big Ten to have an opinion on most of the top prospects, but I share the apprehensions about Young and Stroud that have been expressed at various times throughout the season.

The problem is that we wasted a few of his rookie deal years...

Kayshon Boutte looks like AJ Brown lite. If he didn't have a carousel at QB, I think he'd be talked about more with the likes of Quentin Johnson and Jordan Addison. Very intriguing player.

Is Boutte the LSU guy that people are wondering if he even likes playing football?

I haven't heard that. He did have some frustrations with LSU and his role with the team.

Our #3 + our 2nd round pick for 2 kind of Top10 picks, for example #6 and #13 from Detroit.

There are 4 teams with worse records (and 3 more with the same record).
Man, more than 1 win the rest of the season could screw us.
Please start the tank.
If we can lose to the Rams, Lions, and Bears, that would really help us a lot.

Those two OT wins are looking brutal right now. Could be at #2.

We are at 8 right now, but 3 teams will not be actively tanking as they dont own their picks. Crazy how there are 10 teams with 4 wins. Based on the point chart, the difference in value in the draft is basically a high second and high 4th just based on losing an extra game.

I'm ok with Love the rest of the way and deciding if we try him out for a year or just go with a QB this off-season.

Jalen Carter is looking like the guy the Packers need most. I don't think they can win more than one more game to have a shot.

I always get a kick out of reading mock drafts throughout the year. They're mostly click-bait lists of the usual suspects thrown into a random generator, but I still find them entertaining. One absolutely common thread so far this go-around is that 98% of those lists have the Packers picking a WR in round one, regardless of where their slot position is and regardless of who is creating the list. They're absolutely locked in on that idea.

To my feeble mind, I don't see that as a lock.... First thing: what slot do they pick? With all of the needs for a 2023 rebuild, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Packers trade back in the first.(by Gute or whoever). Second: What is done with Bahktiari and Jenkins in the off-season, I could easily see the Packers picking a Tackle in the first round, whether Rogers stays or goes. Third: What if the Packers trade out of the first round in 2023? Besides a likely hole at Tackle, how about a Safety (yeah, I know the Pack has burned a ton of high picks on defense). They'll likely need to replace Preston Smith, most of the TE's, an upgrade to the WR's, and maybe even Aaron Jones.
