Didn't we all say that before the squad was announced. Clearly Southgate is given the shite a run out before the games get serious.

England should pack their bags if they can't beat a team that couldn't even qualify 4 years ago.

There's no shame in being behind Honduras and Panama.

Is Panama a big enough country to have a league?

English football is all about speed and pressing. If they aren't doing that then they're having a laugh.

Isn't he playing? Second best player in the squad after Maddison.

Southgate is a joke.

world cup so far has been a tale of 2 halves.

From what I've read elsewhere the match has been poor without any real quality, particularly upfront. Don't let your bias make you think you're great. You couldn't beat Wales.

Canada demolished Belgium in the first half and were the better team overall.

Lost.

After next week people will only remember the scoreline.

It's been shocking how uncreative the center backs + Rice have been. Trips is coming all the way into the cb & dm positions to help dictate play but it's clear he prefers to do one-two's as the runner with a true deep central passer. It's also a weird tactical choice by Southgate when Bellingham and Mount are both starting and the latter is excellent at creating direct goalscoring chances for wingbacks from cm and between the lines.

I hope the US comes out with some energy in the second half. They looked tired around this time last game.

Southgate also thinks Foden is an attacker. He's a mid and should replace Mount, playing alongside Maddison when fit.

I gotta say I'm not impressed by either team so far. England will make it out of the group. But I'm having a hard time seeing them advance in the knockout round.

Adams defense is commanding.

What an embarrassing game from England.

The US need to find a goal somehow to see the drama.

Southgate's solution is...... Henderson

Playing a pretty sound match so far, we just don't have much bite in the final third. Even a ham-and-egger like Brian McBride would be a godsend on this team.

Watching England play is reminding me of when Villa play with Gerrard as their manager lol.
