May I ask what role do you which he play on this team?

I could be wrong but I dont see Morey being high on him. 40% from field. Below 30% from 3. Sub average on defense.

A guy who might interest me is upgrading Niang with Bojan Bogdanovic. Bojan as 6th man scorer with Melton,Milton and Reed would be a tremendous boost to our bench.

If we need offense we can even run..

Maxey
Harden
Bojan
Tobias
Biid

Thats a lot of firepower

And then we can have Bojan as back-up if Tobi is cold, Harrell or Reed as back-up if Biid is cold, Melton or Milton as back-up if Harden or Maxey is cold.

Another guy who may play this role is Olynyk. But yeah, if it’s proven too expensive I’m OK with Niang

Him and Covington are at the top of my "somewhat realistic targets" that could come in help this team immediately. Elite deflections guys, multiple years left on their deals at reasonable numbers, proven role players that could come in and fit immediately.

Caruso gets bonus points for being able to run the team in Maxey lineups. Cov get bonus points for familiarity with both our stars and the ability to play some 5 in switch units.

If Morey can flip Thybulle and scraps for either it would be a pretty big help to the rotation.

Here is my attempt to consolidate all of that:

CHI gets Harris and Thybulle
LAC gets Robinson and Fournier
NYK gets DeRozan
PHI gets Caruso, Covington, Kennard, and Coffey

I think its easier to trade for Lavine. Then I dont think Clips is high with Robinson, when they already have Zubac and are very comfortable in playing small.

There was a thing on the wiretap saying the Clips wanted a switchable center. I’m not going to pretend I’ve watched enough of Robinson to know his switchability, but I do know he’s athletic.

If the Bulls would really do LaVine for Harris and Thybulle… then I think there’s lots of possibilities out there. DeRozan is harder to win with than LaVine IMO, so I believe the Bulls would rather move DDR.

Gordon Hayward signed a 4-year, $120M deal with the Hornets in 2020.

Games played:
2020-21: 44
2021-22: 49
2022-23: 11

Tobias for Hayward?

Derozan is the guy you need to win in today’s basketball. He’s a reliable go to guy down the stretch. He is what Embiid is to us on offense.

Bulls even play Derozan than Lavine in crunch time.

Mitchell is a downgrade to Zubac.

If Clips want someone switchable.. why not Tucker for Roco?

Lavine for Thybulle and Tobias would be lit .

He adds that athleticism we lack and he is a high volume 3pt shooter. He would definitely fit our core with his skill set.

.also takes pressure off lavine as a ball handler.

DeRozan is the alpha closer on that team and he's damn good at it. Marc Iverslery likes Tobias and Thybulle from his 76ers history.
.
Vuc/ Drummond
Williams/ dunker dude
Tobias/ shooter
DeRozan/ Thybulle
Caruso / white/ ball

I would go as far as

Tobias, Thybulle , Springer and 2029 for Lavine

That speed and shooting is gonna Maximize Harden and Embiids effectiveness moreso than Tobias size and Thybulles defense. Now and in playoffs.

.Maxey / Shake
Lavine/ Melton.
Harden (PG)/ House
Tucker/ Niang
Embiid / Reed / Harrell

Once he here and we lose, expect people to complain why he didn’t drop 40pts

Hayward is the better shooter and better playmaker, but the swap makes us even worse rebounding. And Harris is superior defensively.

Are there more pieces in the deal or just a swap?

Robin will definitely appreciate our team’s famously transparent injury reporting.

DDR will not shoot threes. Will just leave the comparison to Jo crunch time offense alone.

Trading Tucker after losing picks for "tampering", after Jo and Harden asked for him... is not a realistic option, although it would be nice.

Bojan would be an amazing offensive get for this team, I'm just not sure how you accomplish that. Even if it's somehow part of a Tobias deal, he'd be a far better fit as the 4th option with the starters.

Didn't Detroit just give him an extension a few weeks ago? I don't think they're interested in moving him.

I wish we would trade Tucker to Chicago for Caruso, straight up (their contracts are very similar).

Between Melton and Caruso, we'd always have a G out there that can defend, playmake, and hit a three.

Sir, the FO sent us the memo last january and told us to act like Maxey is one of the promising players in the league so we can have a high trade value for him. I did my part trying to justify that he has the same trade value as Jaylen Brown in the GB during offseason. Please act accordingly. Thank you
