They will be running the gauntlet for the next 13 games or so...

What an incredibly difficult schedule.

Hang on for the ride.

When Lauri played first time vs Warriors in his rookie year he did this for Steph Curry.

What Lauri will do tonight vs Warriors that remains to be seen.
Will Jazz win today? i don't know, warriors are retaining and defending NBA champions so the game won't be easy.
Should Lauri play today better than vs Pistons? Absolutely if his goal truly is to compete allstar game spot.

Warriors were effing 44% on their three pointers, Steph & Klay hit more threes than the Jazz combined.

Both teams had 45 3pt attempts. Warriors got 60 points out of them, Jazz got 33.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Interesting stat - Lauri was +12 in his 37 minutes. So in the 11 minutes he was out the Jazz lost by 23 points.

It did seem like the warriors just happened to hit all their threes when Lauri was out though.

Jazz probably wont win a game until Conley comes back.

That was a really bad game. Our defense was awful, and some aspects of it have been bad all year long, like our transition defense and our interior defense, and our defensive rebounding. It might be worth considering giving Kessler more minutes.

I did like that Hardy gave time to NAW, and I thought he was pretty good. He's a long and versatile defender and he doesn't make a lot of mistakes on offense. THT, on the other hand, was just plain bad. I thought Sexton was also pretty good, he played pretty responsibly, ended up with 50%FG, 7 assists and zero TOs.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

For whatever reason Hardy took Lauri out of the game at the 6 minute mark of the first quarter. That's when Steph went on one of his 3 pt shooting rampages so the +/- looks better for him although I thought he played pretty well too. That Cav team last year with an athletic front court Allen/Mobley + PG's like Garland and Rubio was a perfect squad for him. Hardy's offense is more passing oriented so they won't be feeding him 20+ times a game in this offense although I think he's better as a spot up shooter in the flow of the offense anyway. My main concern with Lauri last night is he couldn't keep up with Steph when he got switched on him but that is the case with like 95% of the NBA. Maybe Hardy should've made an adjustment but the options on this current team are limited. Jazz don't really have a ton of wing defenders. Lauri's lateral quickness is just ok but not nearly good enough to be defending quicker wings/guards.

As much as I like Mike and how he gets them into their sets not sure they win the past few games even if he did play.
