Re: **Fantasy Trade Thread** Updated for 2023
If/when Miles Bridges becomes available, Riley should pounce.
Pennies on the dollar for a guy who would step in and be the best scoring option on the team, not to mention fullfill the athleticism void that the team is in desperate need of.

What are the Knicks getting out of this deal value wise?
I expanded it where the Knicks get a pick for taking on Duncan Robinson and Lowry:
Knicks trade: Randle, Fournier, Robinson, Mykhailiuk, and a 1st
Knicks get: Lowry, D.Robinson, Beverley, D.Jones, & two Miami 1st
Heat trade: Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Vincent, and two firsts
Heat get: Randle, Mitchell Robinson, Schroder, and Kendrick Nunn
Lakers trade: Beverley, Nunn, Schroder, and Damian Jones
Lakers get: Fournier, Mykhailiuk, Gabe Vincent, & an NY 1st
The Knicks get to rid themselves of Randle and Robinson, acquire another first round pick, unleash Toppin/Reddish/Simms, and get an older guy in Lowry who Grimes/Quickley can learn from and eventually beat out.
I think the value balances out with Miami sending better draft assets, but I don't think I'd give up firsts for Randle. I'd like Rose but not for a first.
I think if Miami was to give up picks they need to balance the roster better with a center like Myles Turner.
Why would NY give up their starting front court for Lowry when we have Brunson? This trade makes absolutely zero sense. Quite shocking actually.

It's called salary clearing and stockpiling draft picks.
Mitchell Robinson for Duncan Robinson have nearly the same salary number and the same length. Switching them out is worth two picks.
Switching out Randle for Lowry is a money-saver, pure and simple.
The Knicks also come from under Fournier and give the young pups a chance to play more than 20 minutes a game.

Mitchell Robinson is not worth anywhere near 2 1sts. The fan base would riot if they did that **** lol. If we’re giving 2 1sts we better be getting a way better player than him.

... and Randle and dumping Robinson and Lowry's contracts and solid point guard replacenents.
I respect your opinion, but the Heat are MASSIVELY transformed with a deal of this sort.

Lowry and Gabe >>>> Schroder and Nunn pretty easily
Randle doesn’t play defense and Mitchell doesn’t fit.
The only piece her for Miami that is somewhat intriguing is randle if he bought in defensively, the others are pointless

Davis Bertans for Duncan could work both have the same contract and Dallas is not using Bertans, similar players but Davis is bigger and smarter imo but with risk coming back from injury

Re: **Fantasy Trade Thread** Updated for 2023
What would it take to get Markannen? The Jazz are starting to slip and if they can sell high on him they’ll get the best return. Duncan/2 unprotected 1sts is likely not enough, so what needs to be added to get it done?

Man that’s a lot, any more than that is an overpay. We could fill the roster out nicely if we’re willing to send more than that out

Re: **Fantasy Trade Thread** Updated for 2023
From a T&T thread, there’s a Knicks fan proposing:
Julius Randle, Cam Reddish and Dallas 2023 First for Robinson, Oladipo and 2026 2nd rounder
What are peoples thoughts here? I would do this, and take the plunge into all-in mode.

Do this one and the Pels trade and we'd have two lotto picks;)
Reddish is super talented. I wonder if any team can fix him though.

I'd probably do it for the pick, but this just shows how Knicks fans see Randle.
As a huge negative, worse contract then Robinson.

Getting a free look at Reddish, and getting a legit PF. The d is a big potential issue, but I would expect that he’ll buy in once landing here and seeing what a real franchise is run like.

Randle is averaging 21-9-3 on solid efficiency. As a duo him and Bam would be bigger than Horford and Rob Williams and Randle is a solid shooter now. Would probably get more efficient looks here.
Defensively I think he just hates life with the Knicks to be honest but we dont tolerate that. He’d buy in.
Reddish has already had some monster games this season.
Considering Dipo will never be healthy apparently we get the 2 best players in that trade and the better pick lol

Well this is the type of deal you would have to expect. Similar to Dallas dealing Porzingis for Dinwiddie and Bertans. Bertans probably being the most similar contract and play style to Robinson which is trash.

I would expect that there would be no picks swapped, or they’d ask for a pick. But I’m super happy with the proposed deal
We need one more piece, and this is the time to either piss or get off the pot. We’ve got a super soft section of our schedule coming up, and it’s the chance to cement a rotation and confidence in style of play. Bam is on the path to being an All-Star & with Jimmy we’re on the cusp of being a tie contender like we were in 2005/06. Pat needs to swing another one of those deals that brings in the pieces we need, and I’ve been saying we need our Sheed deal to put us into the next level.
