It was a brilliant goal. Too much space, sure, but there’s still three defenders and a goalie ahead of him. Perfect pace and placement. Was destined for 0-0 if not for that

If they lose, they are basically out.

So much for 5th game if they can’t get out of the group.

Argentina must win to keep going as well, right?

The result earlier today helped them in that regard.

If this ends in a draw. Argentina control their destiny. They must beat Poland by 2 goals. If they did that, they'd overtake Poland.

If Saudi Arabia had won, then they'd be in further trouble. They would have to win this game, otherwise they'd have to wait for the Saudis to get a result against Mexico in the last game.

Thanks again! So many implications. Everything counts. As of right now it's

Poland

Argentina

as top two teams.

KSA is out.

Mexico on the brink.

Scaloni not looking happy. As he shouldn't. This team has a major problem playing it through the middle. Unnacceptable to be this bad. It's still the same old tale of Messi and Di Maria having to save the team. Scaloni has to step up his coaching next game against Polen.

Disappointed for Denmark, played way better than vs Tunisia but let the point slip at the end. Schmeichel for all his saves from distance and headers is terrible at coming out and challenging crosses and as soon as that cross was going and I saw him back pedaling instead of coming out and trying to punch that ball away I knew it will be trouble. Denmark will need a win now and hope France will not gift Tunisia a big win.

Saudi Arabia control their destiny. Beat Mexico and they qualify. If they draw, they need Poland to lose by a lot.

Mexico need to beat Saudi Arabia and also hop Argentina beat Poland. Doesn't stop there, goals are involved, they have to make up a 4 goal difference.

Argentina are in with a win or a draw, as long as Saudi Arabia don't beat Mexico.

I misunderstood. They actually have more points than Mexico. Per Dirk above they still have a shot.

Hope Canada can win tomorrow. If only the main man converted on the penalty...or they let David take it.

Concacaf has been disappointing...or you could say this is about what we can expect..idk

Nothing has given me more joy in football than watching Lionel Messi play. Incredible talent.

Argentinians: Embrace him, support him, worship him. You will never see another.
