Belgium not winning anything despite having de Byrne , hazard , and lukaku is a huge failure.

He said he thought Belgium were too old to win it all. So I'm not sure whether it was a release pressure valve or what but here we are.
Personally I think it was a stupid comment to make and for an elite player that is a pretty **** attitude to have even if it’s partially true. If it were Mbappe or someone like that to say the same thing I’m sure people would make more of a fuss about it.
De bruyne can’t lead his national team , easy to play at MC when you are stacked at every spot. He’s been totally exposed and not in consideration for best playe.

That's a wonderful touch and finish from Kramaric, evoked Berbatov there.

Davies needs more help. Canada isn't there yet.

Alphonso Davies can rise to the occasion, not that it was any doubt but he really is a top player. Hopefully Canada can produce more talent to his or close to his level.

Not sure if this is saying much but the best in CONCACAF by a huge margin. Canada's come a long, long way.

New and coming players are not half as good, yet. So the statement is solid, although not good for team morale, but true in the end.
Btw: I quoted you, but it's just my take on this story

De Bruyne is just realistic about his team. Their peak was 2018. and they failed then. Besides him and Courtois, Lukaku is injured/unfit, their defense is old and past their prime.

You should have addressed this to him. I'm a huge, huge DeBruyne fan.

When you're relying on the likes of QPR legend Junior Hoilett, who I thought had retired (only to find out he's still only 32), that's no good. But I like how Canada play, it's just the squad is too imbalanced in terms of quality.

Canadian defenders just stood around and watched, not aggressively mark.

I thought he was retired too
Canadian style of play is just too demanding on the team. Perhaps it can pass against weaker opponents, but on the big stage they sizzle out very fast. Davies is really good and perhaps in the future Canada will be better.

The result earlier today helped them in that regard.
If this ends in a draw. Argentina control their destiny. They must beat Poland by 2 goals. If they did that, they'd overtake Poland.
If Saudi Arabia had won, then they'd be in further trouble. They would have to win this game, otherwise they'd have to wait for the Saudis to get a result against Mexico in the last game.
Thanks again! So many implications. Everything counts. As of right now it's
Poland
Argentina
as top two teams.
KSA is out.
Mexico on the brink.
Saudi Arabia control their destiny. Beat Mexico and they qualify. If they draw, they need Poland to lose by a lot.
Mexico need to beat Saudi Arabia and also hop Argentina beat Poland. Doesn't stop there, goals are involved, they have to make up a 4 goal difference.
Argentina are in with a win or a draw, as long as Saudi Arabia don't beat Mexico.
Top 3 control their destiny but more importantly only Poland and Argentina have real shot at first place ( avoiding France in next stage ) saying this I wouldn’t be surprised if they both draw , Saudis beat Mexico and end up first , this group is wide open

lol, my poor mom. She has probably watched maybe 20 football matches her entire life, if that. But she's an extremely proud Canadian so she's very sad right now.
