I didn’t even know they done this, I saw the tweet which showed the post seems like a lot of Iranians supporting it in the comments.

Oh for sure, I get lots of Iranians supporting it. We have a massive Persian population in Toronto and I support them and loathe the oppressive regime.

But as another countries sporting organisation you still don't **** around with someone else's flag. And the arrogance of doing that, damn.

Almost all Iranians call the current emblem non Iranian. Most I’ve encountered say the real emblem Is the lion and the sword. The disdain for this regime from the majority inside and outside the country is extraordinarily high

Look at the protest pictures outside of the country and the flag they carry. It’s the lion and the sword. Plus I said the ones I’ve encountered. They don’t believe the current flag emblem

Mind our own business? The regime in Iran is killing kids and innocent protesters who are seeking the basic human values. No the world should not look away. WTF?

If not turning a blind eye on a child killing regime that has no qualms about killing people who want the basic human rights makes me a colonialist then so be it.

lol - no one has murdered more children than the American regime. save us your sanctimonious fingerpointing and look in the mirror. and that was the third time I asked you to provide data for the disinfo you're clearly spewing, sounds like you actually don't have any.

god forbid we go thru a futbol tournament without this nauseating and relentless virtue signaling.

Just look away and support them like the world did when Azerbaijan, aided and armed by Turkey and Israel (also cheered on by Ukraine), was doing the same to Armenians and Yazidis

Where do you live? I hope not in the land of child killers like the United States? Second of all so if what you say is the truth so it makes it alright for the regime to kill it’s on. Citizens on a whim? Some logic

you want to talk about the millions of children America has murdered and/or displaced in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and in the HOA?

again, save us your holier than thou BS and watch the tournament. America has many problems of its own. worry about your own country before you finger wag and spread obvious disinfo about anyone else.

Wouldn't be shocked if they scored real early, ala Canada today...but, in either case, a small portion of my heritage would still be alive with a draw, as long as Brazil beat the Swiss.

They'd just need to throttle Switzerland on the final match day

Well the above has been an interesting read… :nonono:

I rather talk about the actual players and teams than geopolitics

I think we are due one last crazy Suarez moment this World Cup.

I would want cavanni to get more time.

I feel for the Canucks, but hey, it's the first World Cup in ages and despite the lack of points, they still proved they are a competitive side there. It's probably unrealistic to believe they'd play well against a group with two countries that have had a ton of experience at the World Cup level. They should perform much better in 2026.

I think 2026 is the real target for both USA and Canada. This experience will help them in 4 years.
I am not sure what's the plan with Mexico though. fire Tata ASAP, and then they will see?
