It's probably unrealistic to believe they'd play well against a group with two countries that have had a ton of experience at the World Cup level. They should perform much better in 2026.

I think 2026 is the real target for both USA and Canada. This experience will help them in 4 years.
I am not sure what's the plan with Mexico though. fire Tata ASAP, and then they will see?

it seems like it's always 'the next world cup' for the USA - don't see the pipeline talent or development yet to make any real noise in 2026.

They have a young team. For the first time players are playing for top clubs in Europe, and I repeat, they are all young. In 4 years they should be much much better. They need to find a striker, or one of them needs to learn to player that position, even if it will be a false nine.

There will be a new format in 2026, with US, Canada and Mexico as top seeds, so...plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

Isn't it always 'the next world cup' for every country but one?

I don't even want 2026 to come around with the stupid 3-team groups, no last match day drama with concurrent matches.

Anyways, I love the table at https://ultra.zone/2022-FIFA-World-Cup-Group-Stage, input whatever result you want to see how the groups can end up. Not sure why major websites/apps don't have a feature like that

you said 'almost all Iranians' don't recognize the emblem of their flag. do you have actual data for this or is it just the usual colonialist disinfo?

If not turning a blind eye on a child killing regime that has no qualms about killing people who want the basic human rights makes me a colonialist then so be it.

lol - no one has murdered more children than the American regime. save us your sanctimonious fingerpointing and look in the mirror. and that was the third time I asked you to provide data for the disinfo you're clearly spewing, sounds like you actually don't have any.

god forbid we go thru a futbol tournament without this nauseating and relentless virtue signaling.

I've already been warned off from this thread and I'm staying out but, mate, don't try to talk sense to these guys they have no idea of what is happening outside of Trump's view of the world. You'll just get yourself banned for telling them the truth.

Spain vs Germany was brilliant.
Loved how they both started without a real striker, only to rely on the only real striker in their squad.

Also, Füllkrug is one hell of a fantastic name.

Cameroon vs Serbia is the game of the tournament so far, this game has been insane.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

What a win for Ghana, very **** for the ref to call for full time when South Korea had a chance from another potential corner.

I can see Portugal struggling a bit with South Korea, would make the group interesting especially if they lose to Uruguay today.

Not really watched the game only the last 5-10 mins, has it been this dull throughout?
