GT: Nets Vs Magic 7:30 11/28

Post#1 » by Stone » Mon Nov 28, 2022 3:44 am

Second game of a back to back. At least it is at home. The discussion on the post game show Frank Isola mentioned Seth might not play for medical reasons that are made by the Nets medical staff. As pointed out we could really use the hot hand even if its less minutes.

Ben might have only had one bucket in the Blazers game but he did have 12 boards and 8 assists. Plus a lot of his intangible's, the tip backs, the pressure defense and of corse his ball movement. I would like to see him bring to the hole a little more, I thought he passed up one or two opportunities.

Quick flashback Kyrie dropped 60 against the Magic last season in a true masterpiece.

Brian Lewis reporting we should see Yuta back at the end of the week along with TJ.
https://nypost.com/2022/11/27/nets-expecting-key-wings-yuta-watanabe-t-j-warren-back-by-end-of-week/

Straight to the point, we can't keep blowing opportunities no more.

Ahh man if Seph doesn't play hopefully Joe or Patty can give us some 3s. Orlando is on a back to back too so there's no excuse, we need to win this one too.

Vaughn clearly not letting Kyrie punk him like he did Nash and Kenny. This is probably why Kyrie's been sulking since Vaughn became head coach. Good. This is how the Cavs and Ty Lue were successful with Kyrie. Let him be a baby and a diva but the team has to hold him accountable. Can't be walking on egg shells for your 2nd option.

He wanted an iso on Nurkic. I get it, but you need to keep the ball moving and keep the entire team involved. Teammates won't be in rhythm when needed if they're standing around and watching iso after iso.

Despite his awful shooting, the Harris-O'Neale-Durant 2-3-4 combo seems to be the winning formula.

Lets smash these boys.

You see, this is that bullsh*t.

Kyrie is going to get blacklisted come this summer and will try to portray himself as a victim when he finds himself on the outside looking in, but here he goes basically sabotaging the team with his selfishness.

This guy never learns or tries to do better. He got put on blast for this and he tries to do it again without hesitation.

I had a feeling he was sulking because he is being forced to play within the confines of the set offense, and I was right. He's a massively spoiled brat.

The dumb part is, if he moves the ball and gets it back, he'll wind up with easier shots.

This is exactly what KD wanted from coaching: accountability for everyone.

Move the ball, get it back. Hit the corner and space the floor, help make everyone better. I've never seen a more selfish player in my life, and we've had some real ass holes comes and go through here.

Don't sleep on Orlando. They've got some boys with that dog in them. Banchero is probably going to come in looking to drop buckets vs. KD and Ben

Needless to say this is a must win.

A quarter of the way through the season and we are decidedly average, we are good at getting stops and are highly efficient scoring the ball (top 5 in the league), offset by the fact we don't get to the line much (bottom 5 in league) but are utterly hopeless at rebounding (last in the league on both ends of the court). The numbers really do match the eye test, and as is we're pretty much a bad shooting game away from losing to anyone in the league.

Optimistically speaking talent will get us home against the Magic, and then I hope for better times ahead once Yuta and Warren are back, and Kyrie + Ben gets more integrated into the system.

Seth needs to stop over dribbling. That possession where he wasted 5-7 seconds trying to shake Bol Bol was low IQ basketball. Give Kyrie the ball if you're gonna do garbage like that

Its great to see Bol Bol get an oppurtunity to showcase his talent. Imagine if the Magic gets Victor Wembamyama. That would be crazy.
