If he signs with an NBA team (and the suspension isn’t another full season) by next offseason they will have to put him back in the game. If it works like that, I will have him locked into a good deal for 4 more years. It’s the only positive outlook I have left to have.

You do have one if not the best player in basketball so anything can happen.

lot of factors to consider. lot of risk reward there. If you aren't good and lose a lot you might kill all that hard work with your FA rating you have built up. I finally just started to recover from my tanking year FA rating wise and it took a 70+ win year to do that.

To do all that potential damage and leave it up to the lottery gods if you keep your pick would be a lot but I see the tantalizing youth in the draft.

Could also pivot halfway through the year too...if you miss playoffs with them more evened out odds teams are jumping from the 8th or 9th spot.

I'm sure the vision will become more clear for you as the season progresses.
