...&, having started the season 1-4, the Pacers have won 11 of their last 15 games.
Note that Nembhard was one of the guys I mentioned as a possible get for us if we had traded down.

What a great pass by Haliburton! Incredible poise.
The guy is leading the league in assists BTW. And he is doing it with an extremely low turnover rate. (11.3 assists, 2.7 turnovers). The only guys among the top 20 in assists with a comparable low turnover rate are Conley and Brunson. Haliburton honestly looks like an All Star.

Imagining how good the Bucks will be when Middleton returns on Friday. Can anyone beat them if they stay healthy?

They should be firmly the favorites now. Beating the Suns by 40 on the road is crazy.
I do think Milwaukee can match up and if Giannis goes nuclear with Middleton, it would be an exciting matchup that MIL could pull out.
I love how both teams are constructed.
Also, the Warriors are just as bad on the road as the Wizards. This is #SoWizards type of loss here

The Warriors playing without Curry, Draymond and Wiggins is a G-League team.

LoSING Otto and Gary Payton II has cost them wins.
With that said, Jordan Poole has no business turning the ball over like that with the lead and a few secs left

Much better than the go-go - Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, Donte DiVincenzo, and Anthony Lamb.

Dallas did it too in a game 7. Boston is good but it might be something that tends to happen in Phoenix.

The money and draft capital they have wasted on Kuminga, Moody, Wiseman, and Poole is astonishing.
Even if they didnt want Ball, trading #2 (Wiseman) for future picks and a good starter would have kept their powder dry for a future trade.
Same with Kuminga/Moody. Why not just draft one and trade the other pick for more assets? The two guys who went right after each (Wagner & Kispert) were so clearly better prospects and fits... Bob Myers owes his career to Curry at this point.

Myers did poorly on his recent picks, but I wouldn't go so far as to suggest that their championships are solely due to Curry. Klay and Draymond were legitimately great picks. And Looney and Poole were excellent picks as well. And the Russell for Wiggins + lotto pick trade was one of the greatest heists of all time.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
That's hindsight, though. It was unfathomable that the Warriors would be able to reload and get Wiseman, much less reload with Moody and Kuminga the year after? They didn't need any more good starters (and they got one anyway in Wiggins).
Plus, Wiseman is the only one that is edging on bust territory. Poole has definitely shown ability, and Kuminga has flashes. Moody, being a 14th overall pick, isn't a whiff.
I think they need to move Draymond to give out more playing time, and also be able to change the offense to fit the younger players' skill sets. Either way, their FO is doing just fine. I'm not going to be the one that starts armchair GM'ing Bob Myers. He's not making perfect moves, but I don't think he's made any unforced errors either.
Like, who's doing a better job? Brad Stevens maybe?

The Warriors loved Deni a lot predraft too. Kerr was raving about him

No Kevin Durant, no Kyrie Irving, no problem for the Brooklyn Nets.
Excuse me, that should actually be no Kevin Durant, no Kyrie Irving, no Ben Simmons, no Seth Curry, no Nic Claxton, no Joe Harris, no T.J. Warren, no Royce O'Neale, no problem. Because that's how the Nets won on Saturday.

The Nets won with contributions from (and others):
Edmond Sumner (PG/G) - 2017 22nd pick
Dayron Sharpe (C) - 2021 29th pick
Kessler Edwards (SF) 2021 44th pick
Cam Thomas (SG) 2021 - 27th pick
Meanwhile Johny Davis is struggling in the G- League

Cam Thomas was a beast at LSU. I recall debating Dat2U (rare occasion I was right and D2U was not necessarily so).
DayRon Sharp is a Christian Wood or Daniel Gafford just needs playing time (and to foul less) breakout waiting to happen.
Sumner? Didn’t he ball at Xavier? If so I’d say his production curve might be like Jordan Goodwin’s. Definitely he is a solid role player.
Walker Kessler put up gigantic numbers next to Jabari Smith. Before he transferred to Auburn he produced arguably better number than Day’Ron Sharpe. I knew he was lottery worthy.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
