Houston Astros are World Champions AGAIN!

Post#1 » by chuck_wagon44 » Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:57 pm

Hello,

Considering this is a baseball forum, I am quite disappointed there isn't any appreciation or recognition about the Dynasty that is the Houston Astros!

Since their last title in 2017, they have lost significant key players and personnel. The decorated GM and Manager had to resign due to cheating scandal in 2017. They lost their MVP in Springer, lost one of their key leaders in Correa, had injuries to Verlander and lost key pitching like Morton, Cole and Grienke.

They keep making sound decisions and despite all turmoil externally, they have managed to make it to the World Series five times (2005, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022) with two world championships (2017, 2022). They should've won in 2019 and 2021 as well.

They were forced to change divisions from NL to AL and still continue to be the standard for winning. Additionally, they just signed Jose Abreu from the White Sox and their lineup now is even more scary.

Go Houston Astros!

They Houston Astros are cheaters.

As long as the players that cheated are rostered, that org will always be held in contempt. Nothing they accomplish will be trusted as having been fairly achieved. Every player involved should have received a lifetime ban. A complete joke and disgrace by Rob Manfred and MLB owners - and I say that as a former resident of the city.

They should go back to calling the park Enron Field and erect a statue of Ken Lay while they are at it.

Time to give the cheating stuff a rest.

Happy for Dusty.
