Said a similar thing in the game thread but seriously, has he made a single play this season? Also funny to think back about how he supposedly finally got some help when we signed Reed. I also remember how 1 of the commentators early in the season mentioned during the game that our coaching staff, FO or both think he's no worse than Aaron Donald.

This organization needs to completely revamp their approach to building and playing defense. Three DCs over the course of 15+ years and we're still surrendering record breaking performances... figure it the **** out already.

If we do end up firing Barry, I kind of hope MLF and Gutey pull a Wisconsin and get someone out of nowhere that plays a different style of D. All these "friend" hires aren't working, and this Fangio system we've been trying to replicate isn't working. Get someone from Salah or Shannahan's defense staff or try something out of the box.

Now that Leonard didn’t get the job at UW seems like it is time to bring him in next season as our DC

Couple national writers:

Doug: The first thing the Packers need to do is to find themselves a new defensive coordinator. The second thing they should do is to float the idea that Rodgers would be available for the right price. And I think the most obvious good fit would be the Las Vegas Raiders. I don’t think that Josh McDaniels is all in on Derek Carr, who could be moved in a deal. Such a trade would reunite Rodgers with Davante Adams, and Rodgers would certainly have more weapons in Las Vegas than he does in Green Bay. Rodgers has been playing through injuries all season, so I don’t think what we’ve seen from him of late is representative of what he has left in the tank, and McDaniels is used to dealing with driven, high-profile quarterbacks from his years with Tom Brady. I’m not saying the Packers SHOULD trade Rodgers, but if they do, they’d better get a mega-haul for him.

Luke: After our conversation earlier, it’s hard not to wonder if the Jets would be the best place for Rodgers to land. They’ve got a strong defense, tons of young, talented playmakers on offense, and could make enough moves to absorb Rodgers’ contract under the salary cap. Considering how well this team has played this year despite the quarterback situation, I wonder if Rodgers would see a chance to maybe win another ring with what the Jets already have going for them.

It's absolutely shocking the Packers don't lead the league in this.

At this point in the season, what purpose was that done for?

No idea. I guess maybe extending someone like Jenkins.

Lowry has regressed considerably this season, which makes me also wonder why our 1st round DL can't get on the field. Plenty of snaps to be had and he's not taking advantage of it.

Basically every player except Gary on defense got worse. Makes you wonder.

All we did was push more of his cap hit to next year.
Could’ve saved a lot more by cutting him. He’s done nothing

Pretty empty article here about options with Rodgers but Florio had one great line: "In 2008, they wanted to move on from Favre. But dealing with Favre is like dealing with a dog. Rodgers is much more like a cat."

Oh my god, Rodgers going to NYJ and Love replacing him with the whole 'third year, injury back-up time' scenario from this past Sunday...*chef's kiss*.

Yeah, it is surprising because he's an older rookie and should have been more NFL ready. But I'm not necessarily worried about it. It could just be our coaches wanting to stick it out with the vets

Wyatt not playing is a little concerning (though I saw at least one nice pass rush this past Sunday), but yeah, who knows what Barry is doing. Maybe just prefers vets. Maybe he's on a stealth tank. At some point though I wonder if Gute just says to the coaches, Wyatt's gotta play.
