Yes, I agree, it works for some sports, and doesn't work for others.

Are you enjoying this WC? Have you ever watched the others this closely?

Looked like a totally different in this 2nd half.

This Navas last World Cup? This man is a legend regardless.

The 2014 run for him was amazing since we all know that Costa Rica was never that good.

You absolutely love to see it.

I obviously don't get to watch a lot of British studio TV over here, but he always seems like the absolute worst.

There’s rumours that Luis Enrique wanted to not top the group so they avoid playing Croatia.

IMO, Spain tried to play it safe to get 2nd place in the group and avoid Brazil/Argentina in the quarters, getting England/France on the other side of the bracket.

Seems like New Year's day with the amount of fireworks here in the neighbourhood in Brazil... lots of japanese having fun!

At least I won't be pressured into watching any more games now.

I hope *insert your favorite team* wins it all!

They beat Germany and Spain. Let’s reflect on how epic that is for them.

Had Japan as one of my long shot dark horses, but didn't think they would after the Costa Rica loss.

Has me absolutely hyped for the Serbia win tomorrow

I expected a draw at best for them, didn’t see them winning vs Spain.

NBA 7 game series it’s a money grab , nothing more or less , takes away a lot from Basketball , it’s easy to predict every time and way less drama upsets unless it actually goes to game 7

Are you Ghanaian or Uruguayan if you don’t mind me asking?

I have Ghanaians in my family through my uncles marriage, so I have cousins that are Ghanaian so I normally root for them as a second team in the WC.

Half Uruguayan, half Colombia, American born.

So yea... the start of my beloved Celeste has me a piss poor dreary mood..... the awful tactics of playing anti-futbol where as we played offensively towards the end of our qualifiers thus sealing our place in the cup has left all of us mad and angry at the coach.

It's going to be a nerve wracking game!

Will root for Uruguay then as a fellow Nets fan 8-)

thats a real teammate!!!

My sports teams are currently experiencing suckiness. Please pardon the mess.

All Spain needs to do is not lose and yeah they are losing.

But they advance now anyway, right? It's Germany that's on the brink?

Germany would have to score 7 goals which didnt happen.

I didn’t expect Costa Rica to be ahead 2-1 vs Germany at one point.

It would have been Costa Rica and Japan giving the craziness of today

The thing is now with the knockout stages is that you get extra time, more extra time and then penalty kicks. Love it.
