This is basically the difference between the best defense in the league and the worst.

Spot on. WCJ is highly valuable as the anchor of this team. The question becomes where he fits depending on the draft pick we land in 2023. If by some crazy chance we land Wemby, you have to trade WCJ while he has his highest value because no way he get his minutes or place on this team with Wemby as the top pick. Now if we get Scoot, I think you have to look at trading Fultz or relegate him to the bench.

I don’t think you can relate WCJ to the bench. His contract awesome and he would be a top trade chip.

Part of me wants to sit back and not stress and let the team tank. Another part wants me to see the full health of the team and the pieces come together. If Wemby is a true generational talent then we just have to complete the tank. We are already 27% through, the worst team in the league (as of today). There are no moral victories in having extra wins.
