true but that is with any players to be honest just not shooters.

You can play a high pace and try to get a lot more possessions but there is a finite amount of possessions you can have in a game due to playing 48 minutes (not untimed like baseball). And the engine will filter most of the shots to your best scorers.

So it really values roster construction especially if you want to feed your best players more shot. For example I would love Seth Curry to shoot more...but if I put him in lineups with Steph, Bane, MPJ, and Jokic he will have the lowest SCR rating of all 5...so he wont' be filtered shots.

That last paragraph is where the lightbulb is starting to come on for me now. Specialists elite in their role are just as important as the star scorers. Also, I’ve learned the importance of staggering now too.

Like I keep saying, this will be an evaluation and study year for me. I think Miles being omitted will force me to analyze the sim more (as well as other GMs). That is the beauty of this throwaway season for me.

Or you could go the melo route and fit in 7 All Stars somehow

I am sorry but you would understand my skepticism of passive working for your team against Balla's? If the talent levels were reversed I would understand

Understood, but I did play him 4 times in the playoffs last year 2 and home and 2 on the road. And I used both Straight and Passive in 2 games each one each home/road and I had more success with Passive.

Now a couple factors. DD and Allen are much better combo than Westbrook and Moses Brown (even though) he turned moses brown into a beast Allen got the defense behind him too. So no denying he is going to be tough to stop as we have seen those far.

But passive is to limit drives and post touches and force more jumpers. So I think it does what it intends to do...it gives up more open jumpers and you have to live with the results there. But more jumpers means less scoring in the paint and hopefully less fouls. Less fouls is important when you don't want to get your good players in foul trouble either.

He's really my saving grace. I was gunning for him heavy. If he can get back to a 67+ TS% I'll be hype for next year too lol.

I def couldn't replace there offensive output but I was hoping that the combination of Herb Jones (acquired via trade) and Robert Covington (FA) would at least replicate there defensive impact for a fraction of the cost (so far so good on that end)..and then make up the offensive output in other areas.

I took a similar strategy replacing AD. It took a lot of trades and signings in an attempt at replacing his offense and defense.
