They are so technically sound and excruciatingly every chance they have. You can’t nap vs them. Us should have gotten the first goal.

I love Mexican TV so much. US/British networks might throw you some eye candy on their studio shows. Mexican channels are like, nah, that's all we're going to give you.

Tim Ream has been having a great world cup but I was shocked to see Zimmerman starting after Carter-Vickers did so well in his spot vs Iran

They are so slow though. And flat footed.

I want him to have a 15 save day. But Poland is down 0 -1 in stoppage time. Poland gets a corner kick and put everyone in the box. And he scores a header.

Then they go into PKs, and Poland wins.

And then he retires

It’s his last World Cup anyways , he already announced he will retire soon at young age

I've never been a huge second-guesser, but that was strange. Ferreira starting is just a complete waste. Leaving Reyna glued to the bench continues to be baffling.

too much pressure on pulisic to be the man when he's not cut out being that guy.

but this deficit is purely on absolutely awful defense. dutch trailer not marked and wide open with a whole net to shoot at.

that 2nd goal was simply inexcusable.

I'd have to watch that second goal again, but I saw McKennie walking near the top of the box just watching as it unfolded. That just CAN'T happen. Down 1-0, having already been taken apart on the first goal, we need everybody back in the box, not loafing around out of position.

Shoot the ball! Possession time is super but meaningless if no opportunities come from it

Dost is the man who made the mistake for the second goal. He's probably just too gassed from going forward and failed to follow through, and there you have it 0:2

His concentration tends to wander, which isn't great when you're also getting so far up the field. That's the main reason he washed out at Barcelona, at least according to Koeman who used to drag him in the press pretty regularly.

In any case bad for him, hopefully USA can make it at least a bit interesting in the second half.

Bad decisions being made...

Gotta take Pulisic inside where he brings the ball up...

Mckennie, Dest aren't cutting it

i know it's popular to get on berhalter but i just don't see world class skill on the team. poor touches. poor giveaways. lack of creativity. and no legit scoring threat. and today, two awful defensives lapses by adams and dest followed by poor giveaways are the reason for the goals - not tactical stuff.

starting ferreria didn't make sense but that's not why those 2 goals were given up.

Agreed. But it was still a dogsht decision. As has been barely playing Reyna so far. He's already done more in 15 minutes than our useless strikers have in the entire tournament.

I like Berhalter. Or more specifically, I don't have the tactical/strategic acumen to criticize him on a substantial level. I strongly believe it's a players game at the end of the day.

But he has made some baffling lineup choices.
