yeah, i just think we're basically a top mediocre world level team from top to bottom. good enough to squeeze into the round of 16 but not good enough to do anything past that.

the world cup was in the US back in 1994. MLS started about a year or 2 later. that's 25+ years ago and the US soccer development has to be considered a bit disappointing. i mean you're competing with 4 other sports that's gonna take the best athletes but it goes to show you just how tough it is to develop a national team to a world class level. i think the US is close tho - have to find that goal scorer and great CB to make legit noise.

lol wtf Stu, the first one was one a good save. A goalie's save should never end up in front of the goal. That is a "bad save".

Wright has to do better than that rounding the goalkeeper. Thats basic level football he had plenty of room as well. USA playing some really great football.

Maybe this will give them some energy. This game was the complete opposite of the previous games, and something did very well: they played with a lot of energy.
Netherlands somehow take the energy out of teams, they put you to sleep.
