Well the answer may depend on how the season ends but Geno Smith has way over performed expectations.

So would you sign him to a longer deal after this season or draft a QB and try to get Geno to sign on for just 2 more years while the prospect developed?

Check out this mock draft.

I guess Caleb Williams must not be eligible for this draft?

I would keep Geno. He's proven himself.

My gut says the Texans take Bryce with the first pick.

Haha ya when you slice open a finger on his throwing hand and play him when he’s banged up and can’t move, he becomes human.

Haha on one leg today. Got nothing negative from him tonight.

He’s my favorite QB prospect since Luck (who I think as a prospect can’t be topped).

I think Utah has 2 legit pro prospects.

Kincaid is a legit TE prospect
Phillips is small but the dude is a really good DB.

He has throwing angles like Mahomes. I would draft him #1 and not look back
Praying for Burrow

He’s as close to a Mahomes cone as you can get. Slightly smaller than Mahomes but quicker.

But ya the different throwing angles, and the ability to extend plays and make ridiculous throws down the field because he has a rocket as an arm is very Mahomes as well.

You can just tell he’s going to be an elite NFL QB. He gives me Rodgers vibes also. He’s the most exciting prospect we’ve had in 20 years

I think it's fair to say that he plays great out of structure. He's very elusive in the pocket. But when he couldn't move around he was a different player. Not nearly as effective.

He is one of those elite QB profiles where he has just freakish arm talent, while being mobile and athletic enough to beat teams with his legs when needed. That’s what guys like Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers (in his prime) all had.

I have him behind Luck. To me Luck was as good of a QB prospect as you can get. Elite arm, elite size, athletic, and elite when it came to processing defenses.

The only problem with Luck was he was too smart haha. Dude was so smart that he realized he had already made enough money that continually playing football was stupid long term, so he bounced haha.

Ya but the thing to remember is him having a bum left leg didnt just effect his ability to extend and scramble. That’s his plant leg to throw as well. The dude was getting close to Byron Leftwich at Marshall levels of banged up today haha. After that long bomb you Addison in the 4th, they were going to be forced to call a TO if the OL didn’t get hurt, because Williams had no chance of getting down the field in time to get another play off.

I don't know about those USC QBs, though with the transport portal, maybe a different type of prospect than normal.

But SC QBs rack up huge numbers in the Pac 10 and then can't do anything in the NFL. USC also has dominant RBs and WRs but again, those are mostly average NFL players.

Remember the Mike Williams hype?

Maybe Caleb Williams will finally break the streak of USC busts drafted very high. But he's putting up numbers against bad defenses.

Imagine if USC won and was going to be matched against GA or how many points OSU would score on them.

TCU got upset so looks like OSU and Alabama will get in, unless they choke today.

Jalen Carter is such a freak. If Houston didn't need a QB so badly, he'd easily be the #1 pick.

That's how Bush, Leinart, Darnold, Mike Williams, etc. all got drafted high.

Pac 10 can produce some good defensive players but the defenses are bad.

What they put on film against mostly Pac 10 opponents is very exaggerated.

Even when SC was under Carroll and they won some big out of conference games, those players could never come close to replicating their performance in the NFL.
