Re: Around the league 22/23
Jarred Vanderbilt 4/4 from 3 tonight and Walker Kessler 8 Pts 8 Rebs and 3 swats in 17 minutes.
Beasley has been very streaky, has had a few monster games with 7+ 3's, but more games like tonight 1/9 incl 1/6 from 3.

Man the Spurs have been getting spanked left and right lately, they just dropped like a cliff.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Spurs and Lakers are finally heading toward the right direction. Davis is playing like a monster. What do you think about the Davis/Westbrook for Towns/DLo trade now?

Still a terrible idea. One slight injury and Davis is out for the season and then you're just left with Westbrook who is an okay player but definitely not worth KAT

I can't believe MEM won vs MIA...

Re: Around the league 22/23
Jazz with a massive stolen win. Great final paly as they get a steal, Beaslsey makes a great pass and they score right at the end. Warriors inbound but turn it over and Beasley starts dancing as the Jazz fans are going nuts. This has to be the funniest teams they have had in ages, gritty, underdogs who keep getting big wins, they really are fun and have big energy.

Yes, down 4 with 13.3 sec to go. Beasley made a 3 to get within 1.

?
I am big fan of FVV game, but $230M/5 yrs extension scares me. He is also averaging 17ppg, 3.6rpg, 6.7 apg on 36%FG, 33% from 3pt

As someone who has experience in public policy, Brittney Griner talk is banned from this board because I can't take reading any more uneducated takes on the topic of prisoner swaps. Not worth the trouble of moderating, just look at the train wreck on the General Board.
Brittney Griner has been released, this is the acknowledgement that it happened. No more.
Link to Current Affairs forum, if you would like to discuss it.

That's a crazy extension. Didn't we give that same level of money to KAT?

Direct them to Current Affairs Board, https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=69, but don’t ban speech you don’t want to moderate.
I recoil when I hear that talk is banned because of “uneducated takes.” Historically, people in power have called positions they disagree with “uneducated takes” to silence discussion and debate.

I'm not arguing this, feel free contact Howard Mass if you have a problem with it. This is a basketball forum, not a political one. I made the mistake of leaving the thread open for an hour on the General Board and it lead to a wave of reports.
That said, I agree with you that I should add a link to the post, and have now done so.
Link to Brittney Griner thread.

What about Dennis Smith Jr. as Beverley successor?
Yes, an intriguing replacement for Rivers or Forbes. Is he a pass for guy? I am wondering if I am giving up on Forbes too early? He looked good in preseason but miss all open look 3s so far.

Jazz lose again, they are starting to fall behind. Denver is starting to emerge as a top team.

My apologize to the National media and New Orleans Pelicans. I thought they were being massively overhyped but those boys are damn good. A fearsome team for sure.

I 100% agree with this shrink.
If you want to put a blanket ban on a controversial political topic on a basketball board and quarantine it off, that's completely understandable.
I have no interest in that topic, but taking a snide passive-aggressive shot in the process isn't a good look.
Calling someone's take "uneducated" doesn't make it any more or less valid, it just makes you look like an elitist and poisons the well of discourse. It's not a good path to take on any topic.

I agree, If Zion and Ingram can stay healthy (big if) they have a real chance at coming out of the west. Zion looking unstoppable and shooting over 60% on the year. They have some great roleplayers too in Jonas, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, Nance Jr.
West is going to be a dogfight just to come out of the play-in. Lots of improvement up and down the standings. Portland, Sacto, Jazz all look better and OKC and Spurs much less of a sure W.
Lakers and Mavs look to be diminished a bit but they have 3 of the most talented players in the league though too so don't count them out. Not a great year to go all-in.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
