He's not the best at everything, but he's definitely more cerebral defensively and a higher IQ passer than either Wade or Kobe, which is a big part why he is much much better at not turning the ball over despite being higher usage over the course of his career than either one.

I didn't think anyone actually thought either of these guys were smarter or more aware defensively than Jordan was, lol.

So would you contest ben's filmtracking saying jordan found as half as many good passes?

Also what is your basis for defensive awareness here. MJ did have pretty high defensive error rates at his peak(another ben filmtracking thing so weigh it how you want to), and we know that his steal rate had signficantly less correlate with the bulls drating than say kawhi's steal count with the spurs.

The high steel and block count did not lead to major defensive influence, so maybe your priors should be reworked here

I guess it depends on the year you choose. 01 Kobe might be a better man defender actually. I think wade's shot-blocking advantage remains consistent tho

How is this not just a worse version of Michael Jordan? Not only does MJ poop on Wade as an athlete in general, but Wizards Michael Jordan had a better volume and efficiency combination from mid-range than Kobe ever had in his career. At best this player is a slightly better 3 point shooter than MJ and that's it.
