Thought he took too much time but just picked his spot casual as can be and nailed it like a sniper. What a player.

I'm guessing out of the 6 Euro/Brazil teams left, one will be upset. Maybe even two. Just the pure odds of a favorite winning every match is probably less than 50%. Still, I won't be shocked at all if all those countries advance either.

Croatia and Spain are the most likely to get upset. I don't see how the rest of them will lose. Croatia are old, so for them reaching the last 16 would be objective accomplished

Senegal (vs England), Switserland (vs Portugal) and Japan (vs Croatia) are good enough for an upset, but upsets are rare in the knock out fase. Some countries are happy to get to the last 16, for others the tournament starts now.

we are being blessed with a Argentina - France, Messi vs Mbappe final. These two teams are incredible. Shoutout to Brazil and even Portugal, but I can’t see any other possibility.

Maradona up in heaven is using God’s literal hand to ensure an Argentina victory. ( and Napoli as well but we’ll save that for when the wc is over )

Argentina struggled with Saudis and then Australia. I'm not that confident in them.

Netherlands won't be easy. Even if they get passed them, I can't say with confidence they beat any of Brazil, Croatia, Japan, best Korea.

Interesting, I honestly doubt Argentina can make it to the finals. Netherlands, then possibly Brazil/Croatia just no. On the other hand, I can't see anyone stopping France.

Even if he was the slowest player on the field he'd still be great. Pure skill on both goals.

We will see how he ages once he loses that pace.

But he's making so much money, he may not want to play into his 30s.
