Rashford dropped, that's disappointing after his performance against Wales

I think it's Saka that's taken his position on the right wing. Saka is a nice player, don't get me wrong. I guess the thinking is that when the game gets stretched later on with tiring defences, we can bring Rashford on for more power and directness.

That was a well worked set piece by England to find an open Declan Rice at the back post.

A slug like Maguire against a Senegal team with pace worries me, though.

Great cross from Kane, I think Saka could have gotten a nibble on that, think the goalkeeper's position put him off

I disagree, he is "just" incredibly genetically gifted. His physical abilities are incredible. I don't see him as naturally talented as Messi and Ronaldinho is/was. I believe the real Ronaldo was a better player then Mbappe is and will ever be.

I hope we will see another of the legendary blunders from the arsenal of the legend Maguire. Would be epic :D

He has skills to go along with his athletic traits, no?

If he plays long enough, he could get way up in some all-time records.

Get a throw-in high up the pitch, immediately recycle the ball back to the CBs to pass it sideways for 30 seconds.

Southgateball, ladies and gents.

He does, but he mostly relies on his incredible athleticism. I am not saying hi is not talented just that the talent is more from genetics then the innate ability like the guys I mentioned above, time will tell.
I hope he doesn't decline like that guy, who's with the Lakers atm, who relied on his athleticism. So by the time decline came he became known better for a joke of a surname fans adjusted due to his recent string of performances. :banghead:

I'm surprised Ismaila Sarr hasn't moved to a bigger team than Watford. Man is absolutely lightning.
